The Sit-Start
I sit and pull I pull and tighten my core till I float upward till I can stand but I don't, I pull more grabbing grasping gasping from the effort.

if when we go out into the world we do not listen to our surroundings
we may later regret ignoring what we should have heard.

After having lunched with Laurie and my friend Alan H., I took myself over to the Multicultural Arts Center where their upstairs gallery featured Henry DuPertuis' work--mostly watercolors.
Not the best reproduction, I will admit. The lens I used is getting fried. It's that one Barbarian gave me that is out of round and won't focus properly so I need to diddle it around to get it right, but w/o a tripod it's very hard to get precisely focused.
Henry is known to me through his three published works on local architecture, available thru the County Historical Society.

Staff at the Merced County Museum are currently working on a new exhibit titled "The Originals of Yosemite" to explore Yosemite's original place names and cherished traditions.
All the photos, ephemera, artifacts, artworks, music, books, maps, and souvenirs on display are all real and original.
The exhibit opening will be on March 7. If you have historical items and would like to share in this exhibit, please contact the museum office at (209) 723-2401.
