Thx Cosmic,

It was good to finally speak to him yesterday. Said he might be out of the hospital by Saturday. He’s saving up some poetry for us I think.

Good Morning Hooblie, love the mossy rocks! I've been south, did a wee bit of wandering around on some red rocks in Arizona, and some more scrabbling about in Wyoming, visiting family and friends. Stopped at "the rock pile" while in Laramie, will post a couple snowy shots later. Mostly I was up in Sundance, but not AT Sundance, as that does not happen in winter.

Neebee, will try to call tomorrow afternoon.

And now then. . .

Mouse, you must let us know if you need anything. A box of fruit? A bottle of anything? You sit in the center of the circle of the Flames (we all know you're magic) where only the enlightened dare to go, so let us know how we can help, what we can do for you to make you more comfortable, resting easy, and to speed your recovery. What would help you? Make a list and post it when you can, so we can do what we can. :)

Meanwhile, I think it is right to say that we are all cheering for you and sending healing prayers and all very best wishes.
and I am tossing armloads of * < Fairy dust > *

I been gone so long the past is never gonna catch me.

The docs weren't wrong I was where I belonged.

The hospital scene was chill after the ER was behind me.

That was grim with all the flu vics lining up like they had to...the Mercy Med Center was built w/o due thought to the number of patients with which it would have to deal.

The view from my room...5th floor, looking dead east at the Sierra Nevada and Mt. Clark.

Big fog yesterday morning...zero vis. Today, quite different. Brilliant sunrises on Wednesday and Thursday.

They want me on oxygen, same as before. I'm gonna have to take my tank with me outside the door. It sucks but that's how it's gonna be.

Thanks for all the prayers, thoughts, wishes, etc.

I don't particularly care for a lot of visiting when I'm in the hospital...interrupts my napping. Phone calls happen & are dealt with as the situation dictates. They are appreciated, however.

I need an omelet fix. One El Capitan omelet coming up down at the Cinema.

More later.

Thanks, glad to be here.
"Best in show."
I gave it a bit more contrast, slight color enhancement.

Boogie, indeed.

Epic omelet, one cup of regular coffee. The food at the hospital is okay, but they serve too much of it.

I don't care. I weigh what I weigh and I can lose it bit by bit.

They've given me a series of mellow exercises to help me to walk more easily...light leg lifts, arm raises a la ballerina, curls with no weight.

It gets the heart moving a bit more and when I travel around it's noticeable. The oxygen cart will be used pretty much all the time, pain in the butt though it may be. I sit here on 2 liters flow and am comfortable, able to think clearly.

I need to get over to Walgreen's today to p/u a few more meds: Spiriva, Breo, two bronchodilators used once each day. Drop the Asmanex, keep using the albuterol inhalers...one 4x/day, one as needed for chugging uphill.

Not rushing helps tremendously. One thing at a time.

I've been seeing TV. News shows tend to repeat so much, it's like who cares? I live in a dump, not a s...hole. It really grieves me that this idiot chief exec is allowed so much air time. He's ruined his own credibility, that of several party supporters, and given our country a pair of black eyes.

He may be in good health, physically. His mind is bent on one thing, himself, his image. He'll never be on a coin. He'll never have a monument except in the spot that he's buried at. Trumped by history.

What a tragedy in the hills of Montecito. I can't see how this was allowed to happen, and the officials' failure to issue a preemptive warning is unforgivable. They should be chastised, lose their positions, having lost the trust of mature individuals.

Agree or not, as you will.

I'm out the door again, on the way to Walgreen's and home before dark, I hope. Gotta walk off the food.

Glad you’re up and moving. Your challenges make mine seem trivial. I have “challengettes” I guess. As far as chugging uphill, where do you find a hill to chug in merced?

Ah yes, LaPaloma road...the scene of many coors/purple double dome adventures. Six of us drifting in a baby blue Plymouth Valiant, gravel flying all the way to Hornitos. And back.

It's mostly all new to me and I am not looking forward to the complications.

I got lots of tubing and can go all the way to the door and the john with no problems and still have air. I made sure there was lots of extra tubing when I left the hospital. I also have absolute confidence in my medical staff's knowledge and complete mastery of the situation.

I love disillusionment.

Like so:

Show Me the Way To Mar a Lago

Tourists from somewhere
apparently going nowhere
in shorts n sandals
n glassed up behind shades
sayin’ they been in sh!tholes
but this is the deepest one yet

I’m laughin’ as I KEEP ON DIGGIN’
cuz I’m so proud of the way the sides
don’t collapse too fast

I know that’s some great excavatin’
in the sand down Mar a Lago way
cuz I been here for years
gonna be here for a while longer
I’m sure, now the secret’s out

I sh#t you not
some of the greatest two n three holers
in the known world hereabouts
gold damn fixtures
ivory handles
in all of ‘em
yards of the softest tissue
and no flush
but the cutest little fly swatters
made from trump-hairs
woven into silhouettes
of the GREAT ONE
