This just began yesterday afternoon and got to 2500 acres in a hurry.

Back in the end of May, 2014, there was another fire in the same locale, called the Hunters fire, which only burned 677 acres. The Reverend Mathis and I drove into Hunter Valley to see the burn a day after it was controlled.

Coulter update:

Trying to get a leg up?

to another seat in the same row, according to the airline

Airline Talkin' Bluz

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter launched an aggressive tweetstorm Saturday against Delta Airlines after the company allegedly gave her seat away — at one point referring to the airline as a “suck-a--” company that “spends all this $$$ on beautiful aircraft & then hire Nurse Ratchets as flight attendants & gate agents.”

Interesting noted on Ted.

He lived in an area where he could have attended either San Diego High (The Cavemen) or Hoover (Cardinals), but chose Hoover because he thought he wasn't good enough to make the San Dieoo squad.

I was out one morning breathing the air around Tom Paine and this thing showed up. Any beta, alpha, and/or scuttle-butt on just what this thang is for?

zB, I had a raccoon come to the house yesterday. Right up to the patio, catering away, after some carrot bits I'd put out for the rabbits. The raccoon and I exchanged greetings and he commented on his extended range now that things are a bit warmer around here.

So we have raccoons and foxes, skunks and jackrabbits around here. But no buffalo.

Be cool,

Hiya ff

I've only encountered one fellow who had a pet 'coon'.

In South Laguna beach. That animal definitely had a mind of it's own and I don't think his 'caregiver' ever changed it, but it's like so many things in Ancient History, ya just never know and probably never will.

Anyway, and this is the truth even if it never happened, Rocky (was that his name) couldn't surf a lick.

In 1959, an extremely valuable, 60-year-old Senegal date palm was left to the Zoo from the Henry B. Clark estate in Ocean Beach.
The Zoo staff was thrilled, especially the Horticulture Department.
Now they had to get it from Ocean Beach to the Zoo--
no easy task, since the multi-trunked tree (15 trunks) weighed some 26 tons and was 40 feet wide.

In 1932, the San Diego Zoo almost closed!
The San Diego County Assessor, trying to obtain funds for a city struggling during the Depression, announced that the San Diego Zoo owed more than $6,000 in back taxes on the property and holdings.
But the assessor hadn’t done his homework: the Zoological Society leased the property from the city and did not own it, and therefore did not owe taxes.
The Zoo board declined to pay. Courtesy of San Diego Union-Tribune

That thing on the beach looks like it's a site for a tank for offshore crude. #ScuttledAbout #RoomerHazzit

He was more inclined to IB than OB, owning a house there at the north jetty, but that may be Vincent Price in the black and white photo above.

I'll check to see if that Senegaleze is still with is or whether it had been deported,

That round thang, now gone (to Senegal?) played a role in WWII.

Cooking Pot

I said
"Do you have a cooking pot?"
"No," said the man
In this sixty trillion
star night sky

Now I sit by the cigar store Indian
He says
"You don't have a pot to piss in!"
I don't know why
I don't know why

Wearing my SoCal basketball shorts
It's 11:12 pm
Mountain time 20 miles south
Of Canada
Oh Canada

Ain't got a
Ain't got a
Pitty pitty pitty pot
To piss in
Under a temperature drop sky
