From the looks of the map the BLM is obviously attempting to keep OHV's off sensitive areas by creating a viable alternative.
No one is "threatening" Indian Creek.
Knee-jerk, reactionary alarmists f*#k things up for everyone, way more than dirtbikes ever could.
Maybe we should stop climbing there as well to reduce the amount of damage to the area, or doesn't that count?

Some folks have stopped climbing there just for what it has become. Last time I went there, right at Donnelly Canyon's bend in the road, deadcenter on the line, was a rather voluminous and disturbingly liquid blot of human feces. This is why we can't have nice things. Oh yeah, that and the NVG-clad LEOs jerking the gherkin while I try to make sweet sandy love.
