Bob D'A: maybe 22 years back, me and, more surprisingly, José both got our asses handed to us the day we tried Bullet the Blue Sky. Pretty climb, though.

Real climbers can find the easiest approach and route without a guidebook
dyamn, I was batting 1000 until I came across this requirement. That leaves me out.
I can't count the hours I've wandered about looking for the start. Sometimes the guidebook makes it even more confusing.

Still got the old lycra, buried in the bottom of my old climbing clothes bin. Waiting for it to come back in style. And for me to lose 10 more lbs.

back to the OP and harnesses.
12 feet of 1" webbing is really all you need. Unless of course you're a guy and not yet done planning for children.
Not a coincidence that hang dogging and fancy-factory-made-wide-belt harnesses came into vogue together.
That and the buy-it-instead-of make-it-yourself society.

"buy it instead of make it society"

DING DING DINGUS!

Your batting average just went up, plus plusses too numerous to count here, Fred!

Dolt is singing your praises, you bet.

Thanks Mouse! Lightroom bro! Check your pm.

Hamish, you are correct sir! What was most impressive was the moment she eyed it she said "i'm gonna lead that!"

Damn that thing is hard for 5.9!

BM, yes it's stout for a 9. Sandra might like some lycra for Xmas? They prolly don't make it in your size. :) :)

-Single wrap around the waist tied with a bowline (the wrong way) & no safety knot.

-Chest harness used without the accompanying seat harness.

-Whillians harness (fondly remembered by a generation of male climbers as "The Nutcracker)".
