Perfect items to blend for maximum health benefit.

Base:

Banana
Greek yogurt
Kale
Spinach
WBraun
Ed Hartouni

Add strawberries and coffee beans for breakfast
Add ham and cheese for lunch
Add pulled pork barbecue for dinner
Add single malt scotch for evening snack
Add frozen beer for ball games and yard work
Add cheap red or white wine for guests

For vegans, exclude ham, cheese, & pork and increase strawberries, coffee beans, scotch, beer, and wine.

Yesterday, I attended a local event at which the current CEO of Vitamix, 4th generation family owned business, talk about Vitamix' move from direct sales to retail distribution. She showed the original TV ad produced in 1949, in which her grandfather opened the world to the possibilities of late-night infomercials.

Good product, good company, cult-like.

Pulverizing = no work for the muscles of the stomach and intestines and no work for the jaws. Eating pulverized food creates the lack of intestinal exercise like riding a bike downhill is lack of exercise for the leg muscles, just the ass gets sore.

oh dear. I fear this level of science literacy is endemic of America.

Shoot, I was hoping I was being "paged" because he no longer wanted the Vitamix. Anyway I'd have to put an addition onto my kitchen.
Roger....thanks for all the meal and entertaining tips!

pyro,

Vitamix is a Cleveland company with an interesting business strategy. It started out selling directly to buyers, either door-to-door, catalog, and mostly to professional users. The current CEO has led the company into retail sales based on the same high-end mixers, but with very specific marketing tactics. Vitamix refers to its customers as salespersons, on the basis that new units are sold by current customers raving about it to potential customers. They also focus marketing on health benefits and building a community of users.

They have about 1500 employees, including sales, and provide generous benefits and promote a sense of purpose--"I make blenders which are saving the world by providing health benefits."

As a family owned business they can do what they want without having to focus on profits. They are growing very fast, worldwide.

They guarantee that you can extract the essence of WBraun and Ed Hartouni. If that is true, which I don't doubt, then veggies and fruit are ... well, I don't know what analogy works here.

I was convinced by my brother, a chef. Apparently the Vitamix is a workhorse of commercial kitchens, making soups and sauces.
I love the ability to take something boring like broccoli and experiment with cashew cream sauce on it.
Right now it's getting cold out so Curry Squash Soup is the name of the game. Summertime means banana milkshakes with almond milk, frozen bananas, cashews, dates and vanilla.
