Dave was my buddy too, of course. We travelled around together for a couple of years. Sheesh, we haven't kept in touch.

The great memories seem to be mostly about the people we share the experience with!

Embracing caves:

When caves aren't feasible:

Just screwin' around having a fun day on the rock:

Making it back to the car in daylight! What a novelty!

This one just makes my heart explode with emotions I can't even begin to explain. BooDawg, friend of Dolt's and classmate of my birth mom's, leading the way for the little muppet...I don't know how I even managed to take a picture. The intersection of so many lives, and the epic kindness of a one-of-a-kind gentleman. <3

Nice.

And Greg - he's living in the San Pasqual area, working as a consultant right now. I remember well the time he spent climbing with you!

Camaraderie was always the biggest part of the adventure. 20 plus years climbing with my buddy Bill.

About to climb my first El Cap route, the Zodiac with Steven VanSickle with a bunch of food pilfered from the all you can eat buffet in Curry Village. Jimmy Chin took this picture with our camera. Good times.

Completely out of the prevailing Yosemite context here: Bill Taylor, Georgia Tech, in 1956 on a trip to Cloudland Canyon, north Georgia, over Thanksgiving. I lost track of Bill after that year, but he became a US Navy fighter pilot, receiving a decoration from JFK for dangerous photographic flights over Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Then thirty years an airline pilot, passing away a few years ago.

FA of Bella's Tower. I later went back with the Jack-mormon and stomped the crux OW for the FFA.
