I remember when this thing was built! I've played the Blanchard ProtoPinyon a few times and rather have an emotional attachment to it. Sweet and easy with a wide nut for finger picking, great tone...out of my price range.

I'm really glad to see it sell.

I could look at the pictures of Blanchard's work day in day out.

Oh Kathy, I am not worthy......but damn it would be like being in heaven on earth. I hope John and I can at some point get together, if nothing else to see his work of art and to visit a bit with him. He is a really generous and great person, has helped a lot of people and no one knows. That's John, the Pinyon couldn't be in better hands.

Or call me and I'll bring mine and tune it up! And polish it and make sure it's humidified and give it love and play it so the woods continue to open up and make sure the tuners are always right, put it in the case, wipe it down after playings, change the strings....you know, that sorta thing.

Ron, you are welcome to "tune her up" as it were. It might take a few weeks though to get it right.

Nope pretty sure that baby is good to go in 30 seconds as far as tuning it. It's a Blanchard. Yeah might take a few weeks to yard it outa my hands though. Let me know when you want to get together....we can make it work for you!

Whaal, my instrument was the trumpet (though I started on a coronet) and I'm only somewhat aware of geetarz, so my question is approximately how any Blanchard-made g's are there?.

I still would not buy one for a million unless I got the bomb and/or outhouse.
