Munge, agreed. I play piano and always wanted to play guitar but never found the time. A beautiful instrument.

love the wide fingerboard. it looks a lot like my go-to fingerstyle guitar, which is a copy of an early martin. Same form factor, and I love mine, but it's no Blanchard.

I met Will a couple of times. Great guy, great dobro player, and was really sad to hear about that avalanche. I hope this guitar finds a good home.

My buddy that used to jam with him all the time said Will "put the 'rad' in 'rad tech.'"

EDIT - for those that don't get it, he was a radiation technician.

Seems right on topic to me.

I'd sure like to keep it in Bishop.

I'm not a guitar player but I have held a Blanchard Guitar (PapaJoto's). You can feel the quality. Heck, when I strum it it sounds good. Joto can play....

$419:59 :)

I remember when this thing was built! I've played the Blanchard ProtoPinyon a few times and rather have an emotional attachment to it. Sweet and easy with a wide nut for finger picking, great tone...out of my price range.

Oh Kathy, I am not worthy......but damn it would be like being in heaven on earth. I hope John and I can at some point get together, if nothing else to see his work of art and to visit a bit with him. He is a really generous and great person, has helped a lot of people and no one knows. That's John, the Pinyon couldn't be in better hands.

Aww shucks. Just trying to keep up with neebster. It is a lost cause but one has to try.

Or call me and I'll bring mine and tune it up! And polish it and make sure it's humidified and give it love and play it so the woods continue to open up and make sure the tuners are always right, put it in the case, wipe it down after playings, change the strings....you know, that sorta thing.

Nope pretty sure that baby is good to go in 30 seconds as far as tuning it. It's a Blanchard. Yeah might take a few weeks to yard it outa my hands though. Let me know when you want to get together....we can make it work for you!

Whaal, my instrument was the trumpet (though I started on a coronet) and I'm only somewhat aware of geetarz, so my question is approximately how any Blanchard-made g's are there?.

I still would not buy one for a million unless I got the bomb and/or outhouse.
