Caddy,s demographic isnt the 1%, its those who aspire to be part of the 1%. True one percenters buy better. Meanwhile, im still mounting tires other people toss as garbage, out in the driveway with a hi-lift jack and a long screwdriver.
We used to hunt deer in an eldorado. Other people looked at us funny. Still do.

so its politically correct to care what someone else thinks, and that is All Bad? wow.. what a sad state your beliefs have gotten to.
What someone else "thinks " does not pay your bills, most people learn that very early on in life. How can you consider simply disagreeing with politically correct as#@&%es , or anyone else for that matter, as somehow the "sad state of your beliefs" .I don't get it.
The commercial was aimed at a demographic who have worked very hard ,have a little talent , ambition, and drive---only to be constantly maligned and slandered in today's pop and political culture after,and only after, they have become lawfully successful.
Moreover, the slander usually comes from a deranged generation of pampered losers that believes , like Arson avowed, that job creation is equivalent to murder, that any kind of monetary success is suspect, and that wealth creation always comes at somebody else's expense, despite all the abundant evidence to the contrary.
The commercial is saying to the caddy guy that it's alright "go ahead flip these little weenies off"
Hence, that's why these people are getting their underclothes in a bunch over this guys swagger.
They've been flipped off.LOL
(Me thinks you can dish it out but you can't take it.)
In this case ,giving a rats ass about what a bunch of gutless politically correct hypocrites think---who are only concerned with currying favor in the politically correct environment (while hoarding their own stash) I repeat , is increasingly based upon class warfare and this stupid stupid attempt to somehow criminalize earning wealth.
Trust me on this---it's a generational thing. Something about the spoiled mentality of the post--WW2 generations.
Your analogy about bolts on El Cap made no sense.
Go get some better analogies --- but not from Werner.

you didn't "just" disagree. You sneered at anyone who thinks caring what others thinks is good. You raised not caring to the epitome of rightness. I tried to show you that it is not black and white. Why should people care what others think? because sometimes it is the right thing to do. Because we share this world. If you pollute my water supply, you can damn well bet that I will care.
But its also not the opposite, which would be only caring what others think without protecting your own interests.
There is a middle ground.

Why should people care what others think? because sometimes it is the right thing to do.
This is not one of those "sometimes" pal.
No one gets brownie points for caring what others think if they disagree with it---just for the sake of agreeing or caring.
To do so would be an example of a neutered herd mentality taken to its mushiest extreme.
And I didn't "sneer" at anything. LOL
