^^^ Excellent pitching and enough bats to protect Cano (and Cano in a way protecting the other bats).
Ahhh... but give them time. They are knot the Seahawks. :)
And I'm dead serious about the pitching (and they are without starting pitcher 2 and 3).

Hell Yes!!
Direct TV got quite an earful when I tried to tune in to MLB extra innings today and it told me I was not a subscriber. WHAT! The game must be coming to a close, and I'm on hold for tech support. By the time it was fixed, the game was over. I'm sure that the Yankees lost today because I could not watch.
I think my pitching is going to be better, but I haven't seen an explosive offense yet. It is early.
Baseball unites me and my sisters. Two of them are facing a very difficult year. I'm depending on the boys of summer to lift their spirits.
Going to Safeco to see the Yanks in June. I will be the most rowdy person there. The Seattle crowd may be noisy for football, but they don't seem to have the same lust for baseball.

Mariners starting pitching has been a pleasant surprise so far. Felix is a given(best pitcher in the game IMHO), but the long season shall tell on some of the younger guys. Paxton and Ramirez looked good in their first outings.

So that moron Puig slid into first the other day and hoot his wittle pinky.
I guess he didn't take physics or get the memo about friction.
"Hey, Yasiel, do you see Usain sliding headfirst across the finish line?"
But what got me really thinking was how the men of old must look at him
sitting because of a hoot pinky and go "what a bunch of phooking poosies!"
I mean Cal Ripken might be a fat slob now but surely he played with worse.

Reilly-
It's the cost of these overpaid prima donnas! Larry Walker during an interview, laughed and said it was ridiculous what ballplayers were paid--for playing a "kid's game." At the time, he was making $15 Million a year with the Rockies.
During the 1920s, my Dad played for Danville, Illinois in the 3-I League. He broke his collarbone sliding headfirst into a base. They took him to the doctor, gave him a train ticket home, and $20. That was the end of his professional career. He was under contract to the St. Louis Cardinals at the time.
Fast forward 30 years; during the early 1950s, Stan the Man Musial was the highest paid professional athlete at $200,000 a year. Figure the dollar and purchasing power change, that translates to ~ $4 Million in todays money. These days we see $200 Million professional sports contracts. RIDICULOUS!
P.S. Puig is a real Pussy!

I applaud Vitaly's climbing abilities and his baseball loyalties. The Giants aren't doing too bad.

So I had some free tickets to the Dodgers last year, good ones too. We were the last row of
the field level so our seats were about 18" above the lower concourse. About the third inning
a woman walking by just behind me asks me if some money fell out of my pocket. I look down
and when I had pulled my cell phone out a good five minutes before about $100 bucks wound
up below my seat with hundreds of people walking by! And the Bums won, too!

Have a GREAT time at the game! I've never been to a Giants game in SF; my last Giants game was vs. the Cardinals at the Polo Grounds in NYC nearly 60 years ago! Saw Willie Mays play, too!
