Don't know if the op was confused. I'm pretty sure those are disco shoes.

sounds like my foot shape. Oh well, I'm liking my scarpa rebel ultras. though they could be wider for the pinky toe and narrower in the heel.

well Jim I hope you get a comission;) I just pulled the trigger on a pair. I bought a pair of Nepal Evos at the end of last season that are just a tiny bit too tight on my right foot so they are for sale now. size 45 excelent+++ condition $275.00

Jim
I thought you just started ice climbing
again last year .
So you are like a kid in a candy shop!
Personally I prefer the Zamberlam
Eiger boot. Super comfy!
Climbs like a dream.

Had a pair of Pivetta Eigers back in the late 60's, early 70's that were both comfortable and more than adequate for moderate alpine snow and rock climbing. Sounds like "Eiger" boots are made by a few companies, or did Asolo take over Pivetta at some point?

Stewart...i've ice climbed for half a century, never stopped just changed focus. If I have a choice between rock and ice, i'll take rock. Not so interested in frozen waterfalls anymore but still love alpine ice. Did Birdbrain Blvd. last year because it was in killer shape and i'll continue to pick low hanging fruit.
With a size 12 foot, weight in an ice boot is critical. The Eiger is super light AND, most importantly, it fits my foot like a glove....hence the gushy review last year.
Have fun Tradman....i'm heading south.

Have fun yourself:) I just hope they fit. the only boots i can seem to find between IME and EMS are sportiva and they are all too narrow for my feet. I did the online thing and hope for the best...

Oh Jim you should come up and give em a run on our ice before retreating south! We also stock them so if anyone wants to come up to the Michigan Ice Fest you can also demo them on ice to see what they are like!

ice climbing is almost here and I need a warmer pair of boots (warmer than my trusty Sportiva Trango silvers, which are good down to about 4 or 5 above F, but not so good at 0 Fahrenheit).

thinking Asolo Eiger or Sportiva Batura. anyone try both?
