the Ukraine didn't need any help from Washington to destabilize.

That started when Stalin exterminated the kulaks and moved in ethnic Russians.

Putin is a bad guy, and really good at it!

Obama is a good guy, and really bad at it!

The last few Olympics I am just so struck by how amazing our young new adult generation is. I want each and every one of these kids to have the time of their life. To go home with something solid and incredible to draw on through their lives.

Have a blast kids..you are making the world a better place by just being what you are.. together.

I feel that way a bit when I stop by the SAR site in C4 also.

Was driving and listening to talk radio all day hearing how messed up it would be, and have to admit I didn't think I would like it. But I find myself very fascinated by it. The area looks amazing with palm trees on the coast and 5000 meter+ peaks near by. I bet there is some awesome climbing to be had.

Enjoyed the opening ceremonies, some beautiful dancing, music, art, history, athletics... Putin looked like a stiff... I could easily teach him how to smile, clap and look human.

Zamboni from the 1930's.. and some black and white pictures from the past.

Where did the anglo world come up with that lame word 'biathlon'?
In Norwegian it is called skishooting.

I really liked the opening ceremony. That young girl was fantastic, and the technology for the floor graphics was something never before accomplished. I can imagine it may be used in future theatre, dance and circus performances to really add another dimension.

I agree that the Lauren Polo sweaters were tacky.

It was surprising just how many athletes had cel phone cameras taking it all in, but I did notice that many of them were pretty much just holding he things up and were still very present for the awesome honor they were experiencing in being welcomed to the Games.

It would also be really nice if the mass media could get over the nit-picking and prejudice and focus on the spirit of the games.

Shawn White is a pussy. Dropped out of slope style the day before because he knew he wouldn't win & wasted a spot someone else could have had. Luckily for the yanks that Sage kid is awesome, he had a really great run & stomped everything. He deserved the gold for sure. White will probably still win halfpipe tho even tho his ego deserves otherwise.

Really impressive seeing the level those slope style dudes are shredding at, wow!

That DH course is insanely impressive. The first jump into very steep right traverse then compression with a hard left?? WOW Super world class course. Seems well designed though such that likely crash areas have nice runouts. Hope no one gets hurt bad.

Rewards immense strenth to weight ratio. Helps even out the weight advantage of the really big guys. Gonna be some spectacular crashes.. even more DNFs

Bode looks the best, but even he is not rock solid through that traverse.

BTW in XC, speeds have gotten amazing on downhill portions. May see 50mph.

XC??? jeeze

climb2ski, Bode Miller is quoted as saying the course could be deadly, and that it "has teeth everywhere". Impressive how much faster he's gone than everyone else in training runs.

NBC owns the rights here,so you have to go elsewhere unless you want to pay.

If you do not:

It takes a bit to navigate, but keep closing the junk and you will find it.

I could be arrested for this. HA.
