The moon is behind either Warbonnet or the Warrior in the third photo. The photo time stamp shows the photo was taken an hour earlier. I got the angle I wanted by running to the northeast after I saw the moon come up. I only had to go a few hundred yards to effectively "move" the moon down and left. I wish I would have also taken a wide shot with the moon in place but I didn't.

The deep blue colors really make that shot. Years ago I was driving home from work watching the moon play hide and seek behind the mountains 10 miles in the distance. I was able to watch 7 moonrises during the drive.

Doesn't look blue, though looks are deceiving.
Could it be that they have only green cheddar at the Cheese Shoppe again and this is a Jack cheese moon? Is that the diff?

attempt at a bit closer shot
tonight was a huge 4% illumination
I've been looking the past few days, yesterday too many clouds, too much atmospheric schmutz and a very thin crescent...
should set around 19:10 (around San Francisco), so go out and get a look...
