From about 5:30 on...tonight.300mm lens.

The times I found and posted earlier were not the correct ones. I was late getting to my spot on the fire escape, so what goes comes back. Sorry if anyone was misinformed.

I remembered to turn around while I was trying to get sunset shots tonight, and caught the moon coming up over the San Gorgonio Ridge.

Sitting on the beach once in Santa Monica...I watched a big fat crescent Moon decide to compete with the setting Sun. Everybody won that night.

I painted this right then and there...

Light years off topic but I wanted to share in case somebody else (like me) had not seen it before ... a friend just drew my attention to this stunning infrared view of the Horsehead Nebula, from NASA's Hubble Space Telescope earlier this year.
