often in real life it is the right thing. Most often on these forums it is not the right thing. anyone who feels genuinly threatened has the power to stand up for themselfs with the click of a mouse. 3rd party meddleing is simply do gooder BS. Ron was being attacked and could have complained to admin if he felt he needed to. Someone else doing it is weird sh#t.

You are not in a great place to use this as a rationale, Ron.
Far and away, you were the prime example of where Joe levelled his vitriole. For the most part, you handled it well (to your credit), but it's pretty hard to not see the supposed copyright violation issue you've cited as not much more than a good opportunity for you to have a foe taken down.
This is not to validate Joe's tactics by any means. It takes two people to create the kind of dumbass back & forth that went on between you two.

That's a really lame accusation, Ron.
And even if true, it doesn't make your own choice to 'report' Joe any less of your own choice.
Being a regular at ST...esp. in the polititard arenas...means having something of thick skin, and having integrity for your own actions & words. It's not your responsibility to protect the copyrights of anyone (except your own), least of all when doing so is a means to take down an adversary.
That's not 'karma' in any sense of the word.
