Very cool ya'll, humble thanks.

Guy, I'd like that a lot. I'm going to try not to be such a stranger at the crags after this thing has been taken care.

Thanks again Sooze, you inspire a lot of people with your selfless support of wounded booze artists like Blitzo and moi.

Scuffy, it's all about balance eh? Discipline must be rewarded and an uber tall blond fetish model does a good job calming whenever of my darker angels start speaking to me.

Kevin, that darn Way Back Machine always seems to deposit me in the same circle of friends, sans the drama. Good to hear from you dude.

John, I'll be at the West LA VA center, building 500.

On a slightly sadder note, I had been slated to have my surgery done by robot. I'm thinking cool, I got to get probed by something out of a science fiction book. But alas it was not to be as the determined the risk factors outweighed the benefits.

Another huge plus with the WLA VA is that the doctors come out of UCLA Med school, and while I'm a Trojan in my loyalites, those folks do some crazy good work. Largo can attest to that.

For me what has always been the big hurdle to the many injuries I've had over the years, is not the injury itself, but the forced inaction waiting for time to pass while heeling and the associated feelings that are similar to cabin fever. Any and all ideas of cheap entertainment are appreciated.

Hi Pat,

Prostate surgery is a bitch, based on my friends comments, but everyone seems to come through fine and are "cured" including any issues related an enlarged prostate. Good luck and heal quick.

Hang in there 'Gro! As for entertainment... growing a thumbnail or toenail is sorta fun if you are down for a while.

Pat, I'm sure you'll cruise it, I know many who have had to deal with this program, and all came out fine... Hope to see you over here one of these days, Craig

I remember when I first met you, Mari told me that you would pedal your mountain bike behind folks struggling up a steep grade, grab the seat and launch them and yourself up the hill. Can't wait to hear fresh tales of similar feats to come soon.

Can't say-

Wishing nothing but the best through this.

A close friend had the same surgery, and concerns. A little over 4 months later we topped out on a grade VI FA together after 7 days.

See you on the rock!
