Hi
I don't climb except the little bit I did over in the garage of my older brother Cade Lloyd. I am chontel his youngest sister, I found this site and saw my brothers name and thankyou all for those kind words. I wrote Cade's obituary and while doing so it struck me that I really did not know my brother. I saw him and he would smile once in a while but he never spoke much. I keep wondering why his family never knew of his heartache he had. I don't know. I loved him and I think he was the best climber I knew. When I was young he would climb the bricks on the house and it was amazing. He was talented and kind hearted. Thanks to you all for keeping him alive with your memories.

I didn't know Cade that well but he was gold.

Sometimes people touch our lives and they have no idea. It might just be a little thing or unmemorable from their perspective, but has a whole other dimension and weight to the someone who's receiving their being.

That was my experience of Cade. My first years in the Valley, he had this kindness and acceptance that was very rare. I was touched by him and his presence. It's rare when people touch us. And he was kind of a bigshot too from my perspective. He was a cool dude. Had character. Funny. He may not have remembered me almost 20 years later, I never talked to him on here, but I bet he would have. Saying that means nothing about me but so much about him.

Sad news.

I still can't wrap my head around this one¿

Cade, I miss you buddy

But I'm sill hang'in on to our days. Like the one when you sent Midnight.
That was one of the first times I was more proud of someone else's achievement
other than my own.

Heyzeus, that was one of the best posts I ever read

sometimes we would run into each other in the Camp 4 boulder field. we spotted each other a few times, climbed some pitches, worked together, smoked in dank caves. dorm rooms and beneath all the best problems. We climbed in ken's garage when ken's garage was the only gym around...we weren't close..but linked via your then girlfriend who altered the course of my life by introducing me to my wife...in a cynical malt liquor infused world you were a kind man with a wry smile...i'm unsurprised that you're gone but surprised at the impact of your passing...cheers man...i'll forever hear your voice as i'm latching the last hold of the Bulge Titanic.."Niiiiiice job dude..."
