So sorry to hear this. I remember climbing with Cade back in the day. He was a good guy. I had forgot all about that Tonya crap, that was a long time ago The list gets longer of friends that have passed. Condolences to family and friends. Its a good time to hug the friends that are still here.

It does my broken heart good to hear from so many of Mongo's good friends. I'm still at a loss, kind of adrift. He has been one of my best friends for over 20 years. Thanks Tacoans for the wishes & tributes.

Cade Eben Lloyd,
1964 - 2013
Cade Eben Lloyd, 49, beloved son of Leon and Lisa Lloyd passed away on June 29, 2013 in the serene landscape of Leslie Gulch in Oregon. Cade was born June 7, 1964 in Camp Carson, Colorado and was the 2nd of 7 children. Cade was always a kind and quiet soul who beheld a gentle spirit. He graduated from Boise High School and later on, his passion for the outdoors and his extreme love of rock climbing led him to spend many years in the beautiful mountainous region of Yosemite National Park. It was there he met Susane Tardiff and they were married and had a daughter, Shylo. He had a great love for his daughter that held a unique quietness and sweetness through the years. Several years later they were divorced and he met and married his love Sara Fleege.
Through the years preceding his death Cade was always surrounded by many friends, his best friends being Trent and Shawn Smith and his friend Skully who every Tuesday they would congregate at Cades for dinner and game of horseshoes in which Cade would spend many countless hours outside perfecting his toss. His heart held great patience and was dedicated to being the best one day.
He was a man of few words but his thoughts reached far and beyond and this led him to his great ability to write, he was a beautiful writer and once in while you would see his opinions pop up in the Idaho Statesman. Cade will be so deeply missed. He had a great love for his daughter and his wife Sara. Most often he was hard to read because he rarely complained and the light that shone through his eyes and the quirky grin he held on his face will always be remembered until we are able to see him once again.
Cade is survived by his daughter, Shylo and his wife Sara (Boise). He leaves behind his mother, Lisa (Boise), father Leon (Carole) of Emmett, Brothers & Sisters, Connell Lloyd (Ellen) Boise, Michele Impomeni (Jim) Meridian, Cynthia Snow (Bob) Emmett, Chontel Ross (Boise), Abe Lloyd ( Kristin) Minnesota and Whitney Lloyd of Colorado and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Thursday July 11,2013 at Julia Davis Park at the AG pavilion between the zoo and the bandshell at 6:30 pm ; potluck.

Oh Man! I really respected Cade back in SAR 96. He was a good influence and a team builder. For a lot of us, Cade was a role model. He was respected by the Rangers and Senior Rescue Team and a steady guide for us newbies.
I am really saddened to hear this. There are some friends that you really expect to see again any day now. He is the only person that I've ever met with the same middle name.
Deepest condolences to Cade's family and friends.

It's so sad when someone passes before their time......my twin brother was also 49 when he died, it's something I'll never get over completely....nor should I.

That was a well done obituary. I did not know the man personally, but it rings true and seems to capture his spirit. Thanks for sharing that Chill.

Rest well, Cade. There are many mysteries out there and some we only harbor within ourselves. Maybe we can chat about it all on the other side.

i am so very sorry, always to hear of such losses... :(

Continue loving. Not much that is really important. Family and friends and strangers are worth more than money, toys, and things. Love thy neighbor. Plenty of people who have bouts of great sadness. Be kind more often than not. It will make a difference.

I'd been buried since last Saturday, finally came up for air, and now I read this very sad news. My heart goes out to his family, friends and all who knew him personally. I only knew him from Supertopo, but loved his posts.
Many people carry around a broken heart that is invisible to see. My empathy goes out to them.
Too true, BASE104. As one who spent years in the throes of depression, but did a good job of hiding it, I hope we all learn from your wise words just how important it is to let our friends know how much their friendship and existence means to us.
