I don't know how to break this to you, Ron, but Obama is right of center. And it hasn't been Obama posting on this thread about getting rid of due process. And it is GOP senators that have been calling for military trial.

I do understand WHY we have a trial for EVERYONE who is caught, but was expressing general disgust that this piece of sh#t will have his medical bills and jail stay paid for by taxpayers. Maybe for the rest of his life. Don't get your panties up in a bunch ladies.

Tissue for the issue? I swear, all the important stuff is done right and somebody is still worried that this guy gets a miserable existence in some 8' x 8' living coffin. Like if you don't say you hate the guy enough somebody is going to try and put his oscar mayer in your pooper. Fine, tough guy, we believe you! We won't deport you now you eastern f*#k! LOL.

I guess you'll just have to live with that tragic discrepancy, Ron.

No matter how often you repeat it, your line of reasoning is a bit muddy, so I'm not surprised.

It's pretty simple: One bad guy dead, other to live a miserable f*#king existence until he's probably executed. What don't you get?

You want to pull on the heart strings for some 16-year old who any other day you'd be happy got remotely zapped? That's your business.

Finding discrepancies in our government/country doesn't get you a cookie, that's just the way it always has been. Especially in a war on terror you desperately want but also nitpick because you don't like the guy in charge.

i think, since we have already had a precedence set by the droning of an "enemy combatant" (16 yrs old)

That was a sad day for America and the Constitution.

What exactly is the "confusion"?

Our President ordered the Justice department to try him as a domestic terrorist so that he can face the death penalty.

Today he was transported from the hospital to a prison cell.

Everything is going according to plan

If we put as much efford in eliminating gun violence as we put in eliminating terrorism, we would be the safest country in the World.

Get some perspective. Guns kill 10,000+ people every year, and you say that terrorism is our biggest problem???

Same woman at both events?

She’ll be testifying at Truther hearings in FEMA camps “Yes, they did say that. Yes, I saw them do that.” then the front of her face falls off to reveal clock gears and snarled wires and a rats nest embedded in the rusty machinery…”Oooops, next witness your honor…seems this one’s lost face in the eyes of some people…”

LOL ....

To add some clarity, the guys busted for conspiring to bomb the railway in Canada were arrested after a member of their mosque became frightened by their openly spoken militancy and reported them to the police.

Now, as for the behavior of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, This should blow your mind regardless of your political stripe. The talking head video is a basic window on current politics in Canada:

It didn't impress me , Jim. We are much more dysfunctional here in the USA.
But the story is bizzare.

I know a guy who was on a green card, and when he was 17-18 years old, he got hooked on drugs. The police cought him a couple of times, then he stole some beer and got a misdemeanor. At that point, he got into a program (AAA, or something) and stopped using. Got married, three kids, working hard. Ten years after he cleaned up, men in black showad up at his door, handcuffed him in front of his family and flew him from California to Eloy, AZ. He was facing deportation. He spent about three months in jail without the posibility of parole. If he were a bank robber, or even a murderer he could be out on bail, but because the drugs were involved, the law wouldn't allow it! His wife and three kids were three months without any income. He was eventualy released and given a secon chance.

Three observations here:

The war on drugs in the USA is absurd.
The law reacts too slow.
The private prison system is inhumane.

As for gang bangers here in CA have our police supply guns, ammo, food, no water, no cell phones and transported to one of the uninhabited island off our coast [not the one we use for missile firing and strange things]; put them on the island and then go back in 3 days and the ones that are left incarcerate.

Install cameras on that island and make it into the most popular reality TV show there ever was. Make lots of money to cover own budget, get rid of gang bangers. Winning. : )

yes, welfare

is there a point?

should we end all "welfare" to make sure that no future terrorist is not on it?

that way we won't feel indigent?

I for one think it odd that we let those in here claiming to be a refugee, and they get better benefits than those born here.. I find it repulsive to think my tax money went to the pockets of those that went out and bought nails and ball bearings to use against the very people that were helping them..

WHAAAAAAT? That is not normal, Ron. People that come here from other countries deserve a lot more benefits than those who worked their ass off paying taxes and living here all their life. (sarcasm)

I work in a day care center for seniors. For some reason people that are born/raised in US have to pay out of own pocket to attend centers like this one. Those who weren't get to attend for free. Does not make sense to me since those who were not raised here, did not pay taxes here. Would make more sense to have people who did pay taxes here all their life attending for free...at least to me it makes sense.
