Rugged year for the Boys in the Bronx. However, I organized a pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Baseball, taking 24 of my peeps on the Yankee Train from New Haven to New York to see a Yankee/Bosox Game. Thankfully we saw the game that the Yankees won on a wildpitch in the bottom of the 9th. Great day.

Really you guys what the hell is fun about rooting for the Yankees or Red Sox (or dodgers, rangers, Angels, Giants, for that matter)? they spend 3 times what the A's do, not to mention the royals, and then just spend more if a part falls off-like the aged jeter. Schadenfreude is potent-watching the Royals go up on the yankees in the wild card race as of today, yumm. I'll feel better about the Yankees when they start developing their own players again. For now, they are boring. Again, the only fun watching them is seeing them fail.
Schadenfreude baby, schadenfreude!

Slightly irked that Rivera got a bigger send-off than our former Captain and Catcher who was a major part of the Sox winning two World Series. Respect him as a worthy adversary, however. Lost count of how many times he made me cry in September...
And while I'm on a rant, a player is not a Red Sock. It's Red SOX for crying out loud!!!!!

What a match up! 2-2, LAD-STL, bottom 13th....
Seamstress, Wow! The reason I'm pulling for the Dodgers is because of Mattingly. One of my favorite Yankees.

Yeah, I hope the Sox go all the way. But Scherzer vs Kersaw etc would be fun to watch. Either way I hope the AL takes it. NL, home of the free out. Too many intentional walks to get to the pitcher. Go SOX!

I gotta go with the Tigers. Detroit needs something positive and a battered Miguel Cabrerra is still one of the most formidable hitters in the game today. The Sox look pretty damn good, but they're starting to look too much like the Yankees.

too bad the As are out of it. I always go for the team from our division first (that would be the AL west), then if they don't make it, I'll root for whoever has the most ex-Mariners on their roster. After listening to a fair number of Red Sox games this year, I'd say they're going to take it all. But the Cards are sneaky and they're looking pretty good here in the playoffs, a lot like in 2011. I mean hey, Freese already dropped another pop-up and then hit a decisive home run. Deja vu.

Holy shiznit, that was a good game last night. I'm a Dodger fan, but I was afraid they'd wind up blinking first (they did). The Cards infield is amazing.

Sox will win in 6, then take it all.
The only downside will be Tim friggen McGarver calling the games. Poop.

The Dodgers found out that they play baseball in St.Louis, have for years and proud baseball at that. I'm biased being a hundred miles away but St. Louis is proud of it's Cardinals. Oh and did I mention the three rock gyms, yes three in St. Louis.
