I was 57 last week, my partner Jennie is 62 looking at long-term care (hopefully short term until I get my act in order), but I love some of the comments that you have aroused.
Aroused? Like the jizz and c word? Ha ha. That is why I love this forum.

I was definitely closer to the target demographic when this thread started (also, do not google that quote if you value your reputation, sadly, Keanu was about half way down google results) perhaps closer to the original ranter now.
I don’t care that they’re young, I sure as hell don’t care what they call me, I just wish they’d go away.
Don’t need a partner, don’t need any new friends, just wish sport climbing would get popular again so they could all instatweet their faces off in Rifle or Maple and I could enjoy some piece and quiet again.

Figure by the time the healthy ones die, the drunks and druggies should be on the mend. Either way, no one would put money on me being the last of my peer group standing.
And if that doesn’t work I think I’ll take up hiking and soloing, better to slip and be done than endless arias of “When I started climbing here…”

I can't claim to be all intentional, sometimes something like lucky? Sometimes, maybe it all comes out in the wash.
I'm leaving to go, up to the blue tahoe. Come along? It will just be me and the dogs. Wife is at home. Plan is for about a week. Refrigerator is mostly full. Enough space for your bedroll. Guaranteed return trip whenever you need it. Autumn winds are shifting, at least, hope you look east from the Fresno, and know you're up there.
