This is a cool thread.

I agree with Todd Gordon that it is nice to have a positive vibed thread.

Cool pics...classic Locker.

I too have been to the Mongolia area in JTree. Had just purchased a pair of Madrocks on the corner by the Coyote Cafe. My fave La Sportiva foci were on their last leg and blew out after my first route at Mongolia. I donned the Madrocks and set off on lead number two...scariest Ive had in a while.

I want to go back with my good shoes and climb like a possessed mad man.

Hey, John: We had a MASSIVE haul bag filled with beer that we wanted at the belay!

Okay that makes sense. Used to schlepp a big ice chest up to the base of Tahquitz. Tucker would have been proud.

Edit: Hope you had ice in that bag. For a 100' route warm beer would be a travesty.
