Hey, guys: Just got back from my first climbing trip to Josh in some time and did a number of your routes, especially Outer Mongolia. Great stuff! You obviously put in a HUGE effort and came out with stellar results. I just wanted to publicly thank you for the time, money, and energy you put in. We had a blast.
And my young beginning climber friend fired everything, the punk! Showing up his elders....

Here here!
Since moving to Joshua Tree I feel like I've climbed at least one Gordo route a week. In fact, going to be heading out today to hop on an old route of his near my house. I'll report back with some pics and spray this evening.

Thanks for the thanks. We scored at the Mongolia/Siberia. Lots of beer was guzzled while we developed that area;...each route took a couple of days;.....all hand drilled on the lead......but it was fun....at first it seemed like an impossible task to even finish one route;...but we stuck w/it.......glad you liked the routes. They are fun, sunny, with great views, and not too stressful. Haven't been there since last season;...I need to go this year. Thanks again for the good word. When it comes to new routes, people on forums tend to whin and complain more than compliment;.....good for you for being appreciative!

Todd, definitely a great area! Lots of fun, no stress routes where you can push yourself a bit and not worry about a trip to the hospital. You guys rock!

But the way to Outer Mongolia is practically flat - why do you need a hiking pole(in the first image)???

Looks to be a stick clip...

Classic, Locker. I ALWAYS knew I could bust moves like Travolta. The stick is a stick clip, which I always bring to sport areas. I figure if I can bypass a little ankle twisting/busting drop before the first bolt, why not? I'm not proud! Just want to walk away to climb the next day. As it went, we really didn't NEED it, but we used it once or twice. I get a little kick out of that rope trick, anyway.
Cheerz,
