I guess I'm too old to care what people think of my opinions, so I see no utility in keeping them anonymous. Besides, when I meet fellow ST'ers, it's as if we're already friends.

Interesting John, as someone who has grounded, thoughtful opinions it just may be that you are not concerned about ridicule.

Most recently, the Southern Arizona(S.A) Super Lurker called me out at the Stronghold. That was a good connection to make.
Does the red beard and black chihuahua really give me away?

It's a trip, and a good reminder that what we share here is public.

We've had our words in the past, and no doubt I was a jerk, but I consider you a friend, in the stupidtaco sense. I for one care about what you think... and actually... I've been meaning to ask you for any literature/references on assigning economic value to ecosystem services and resources. I thought of you several times while teaching an Environmental Systems class, which emphasized the ecological, environmental, and social aspects of sustainability. If I do it again, maybe I will try to get you as a guest lecturer!

Thanks, Wes. I feel the same way about you, although I don't remember your being a jerk -- merely vehement.

"those baby-hands will be around my neck quicker than I can say "rap-bolt"...

A good neck squeezing can benifit the squeezed in many ways...

Just open your mind, and and let the cut off air flow follow...

Anonymous posters on a climbers forum, a culture that admires boldness, are bottom rung tossers, coward.

I've met a few people at the crags who have read my posts and like them, which is kind of fun. Usually this leads to a day of climbing and good conversation with people.

At the last Facelift, I got a hell of a lot of "Really glad you're here and not dead" comments from fellow 'Topians, which beats hearing the opposite.

It's an interesting dynamic to meet someone in the real world that is a bit of a troll on the boards, and find out they aren't that bad after all. I have also seen the opposite though, so in the end I guess it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

And Jeremy, I don't have any idea who you are, but my impression of you thus far is that you really need to grow up. Have no idea what the kid did to piss you off so bad, but maybe you should either take some real action on it or stfu? Just saying.

The Kid is a professional troll? I always thought he was an accomplished climber who has done way more than you could ever dream of doing.

I haven't seen a whole lot of Burchey's posts, but those I have seen come across as more or less the usual new guy to the crowd, still a bit full of himself and a showoff, but still basically OK. Maybe I have missed something.

In your case, Jeremy, I did a quick scan of some of your postings. Nearly every one has you cussing someone out or saying something negative. Your pics show that you obviously climb pretty well, so no harm no foul on that point. But your postings seem a lot more trollish to me then Burchey's at this point. But that may just be my impression.

Back to topic. Sometimes I wonder how much to let out or not let out on boards, but as has been said I think each forum is different and that's what determines how much you feel comfortable with sharing.

Holly smoke, people! CHILL

This thread is getting worst than politard threads. No wander people worry to be recognized by others.

Shameful and disgusting :(

Edit: Kenny, nice try but I'm afraid that even those nice titties can't pacify them.

Jeremy, I don't read your posts. They aren't worth the time. I read vergaclimber's who said "Have no idea what the kid did to piss you off so bad."

Anyway, you need to unwad your panties a bit.
