Not bragging, but had a chance to shred the gnar with the pseudo-bro-in-law (I'm not married to his wife's sister) last week.

Titcomb 'Mountain'.

Bandit sidecountry, ducking ropes. Oh, yeah.

750' of awesome. (Now, to be honest, that might be hypotenuse hyperbole.)

Trees.

It's OK to be jealous.

Seriously, this is getting VERY serious. This thread should be on the front page every day highlighting all kinds of outrageous snow adventures…. It's a sad sad season here in California. I'll be leaving hotter-than-summer-temps in Santa Cruz soon for Bozeman and hoping that at least up there they are getting some reasonable stuff. Haven't been on boards since December. Not good. not good. Getting tired of two wheels.

jesus H susan it is on the front page. Of supertopo anyway.

Its called the climate change deniers are wacked thread.

If you don't like cycles of drought and flood we may want to consider decreasing CO2 production.

Geez Bruce, ah, duh, I totally get that. I'm lamenting the outcome.
As for my CO2 emissions. Being retired they are pretty reduced. (Unless I eat something funky). I probably bike, hike and run more miles in a month than I now drive.

But thanks for the education, anyway.

Sorry to sound snippy. I'm a bit surprised that a snowpack 15% of normal isn't replacing Milly cirus on the front page too. I don't doubt your low carbon foot print. Still, the real effect is only going to happen at the government policy level and pressure on industry.

Odds are low but if it dosn't happen skiing is dead at least for our kids and they will be wrestling with bigger problems anyway. FL is between 2000 and 3200 meters ASL up here and likely to stay that way for the next week. I'm sure next year will be better but the trend is grim even here. California? Do not invest in ski hills period. Up here ski hills wil likely survive a few more decades anyway but the quality is going to dive. Get used to it.

Get used to it.

Yep, 'fraid so. The bitch is that at my age it's not like my skill increases every year, but certainly my caution does. The last few years I've had to really take stock every time I went to buy a new bike or new skis…."at my age is this really a wise investment?" The problem is you get to a certain age where you can finally afford the equipment that could have made a huge difference when I was younger.
OK enough, boo hoo, I'm getting old crap.
End of thread drift, back to regularly scheduled Shredding!

Spring skiing in January !

So I took a chance on a seemingly healed knee without a ligament and pushed off from the chairlift at the top of Cypress today...

It was incredible to go skiing again. 4 hours of bliss with a get out of jail free card fully redeemed !

Doesn't this picture make your think of a Tami cartoon ?
