Me too. I was in such a rush to get mine in the post that I left the card out. There are some words to go with the gift so hopefully my giftee will be OK with that.

Secret Santa mini TR...

The Fed Ex man came a knockin - he needed a signature to release the goods...

Apparently, the secret santa package contained adult merchandise...

Pente the helpful cat assisted me in opening the package...

A very nice bottle of Scotch! Thanks Santa Bluering!! Very nice gift!

Needless to say, the goods were promptly sampled with great satisfaction! HO HO HO! Happy Holidays everyone!

Hey Zander, here is my best attempt at an early apology limerick:

O boy I’m a secret santer!
To a climber nicknamed Zander
“the gift I will make!”
Oh no, now I’m late :(
Well now, my name you may slander

Hey Zander, I tried to pm you but I never got a reply so I’m not sure it got to you. So now my confession goes out to the whole community. Seeing your posts I think you’ve been climbing a while so I wanted to get you a gift that you didn’t already have – i.e., make it! Since I’d been traveling until today (I spent last night in an airport, it’s been a bit of an epic), I just finished it and will send it asap. So it might be late. So sorry! Bad santa! I hope the uniqueness at least in part makes up for it.

Christie

edit: thanks captain, good idea :) i sent it out yesterday priority mail so its supposed to arrive sat or mon...hopefully it will make it x country through the storms!

I just got a big Secret Santa Surprise, partly because I didn't realize I was opening my secret Santa gift. It was like a surprise Christmas party right there in my kitchen! I was going through the mail, opened up a nondescript envelope from REI, and out came a card w/ a gift card inside of it from BrassNuts.

Thanks so much! I'll let you know what shape its second giving takes! Lately, I've been liking to wear those hoodie dresses they sell... :-)

Muchas gracias!

Dear SuperTopo Secret Santa,

How did you know exactly what I needed?!! Thank you SO much for the beautiful journal. I'm very touched by your thoughtfulness.

(I made it an admirable 19 whole minutes before opening the box!)

LilaBiene

Edit:
I'm experimenting with different camera angles to try to capture the beautiful detail and will post once I'm successful. It's can't-take-your-eyes-off-it beautiful...and each time you look at it, you see something new. The muppet is currently drawing the first entry... ")

Enjoy that, Dave, and you and Callie have a Merry Christmas!

I sampled that Glenmorangie at buddies house once. Unique, and tasty! They have other good ones too.

So glad you like it, LilaBiene! On a side note, this was my first foray into electrochemical etching, so I don't know how well it'll hold up over time. I put a coat of poly on it to help prevent tarnish, but if that ends up not working it'll clean right up with some 00 steel wool.

Happy holidays!

-Aric.

hey there say, christie...

not to worry about the late... lots of folks celebrate for the whole
week up to the new year...

the spirit of christmas love is strong enough to last into the new
year... late, just makes the wait a little sweeter, is all...

you know, like fine wine... it enchanced...

so you are doing fine... :)

Bluey - we checked out the website of that company. First, cool website, and second learned a bit. It is quite tasty and it will enjoy a good home here.

:)

I hope my giftee gets his/her gift soon. It was difficult to pick just the right thing. Hope it puts a smile on a face.

hey there all, say....

i happened to see a note from johntp here, saying his ol' package was
off to some ol' lake (i think?) in mich?
(well, something like that, hee hee)...

well, wasn't sure if i was SUPPOSED to see that, being that there
sure ain't many folks from mich, posting here much--that i know of...

soooooooooooo........ i just moseyed on away, all quiet like, just
in case...

well:
johntp, you will be most relieved to know that the ol' packagge
arrived here in time, :)

say, secret santa, from north pole by way of your address, of course,
being how we are all helping get the secrets out to proper homes...

well, ol' patty ann will KEEP guard:
says do not open 'til christmas, and i usual wait 'til then, UNLESS
they are christmas eve type gifts...

thank you so very kindly, secret santa... how fun, as the first time ever, that i braved to do this, money-wise, etc, YOU were the one that the
good lord sent my way, ... :) now, it's opposite, :)

NOTE:
*say, after trying my best to make that tanagram, though not too well, i have NOW seen that they are in the stores, now, :O
more perfect but not homemade, :))
THAT was the year i was in the beginning and middle AND end, of a
HUGE MOVE... but it all got done... feared it would be late, but
we got it sent to your folks, remember, :))
worked out perfect...

zander's gift, then came to me, and just in time for the eve for the new house...

then, the second year, lolli gave to me and i gave to brassnuts....

now, here we are third year, strangeday, haveing just received his...

OKAY NOW:

well, patty ann marie is doing a great job of it here, john...
we ARE to be trusted... however... let's keep an eye on the
one cat, in the SECOND picture... ;)

and here is the the precious sprockets, and early surprise

OK I'm starting to panic. I posted my gift 10 days ago and from other posts I've seen I think my giftee would post to say it had arrived. I know it has to make it all the way across the Atlantic but I thought I'd posted it in enough time to get there before the big day. If I don't see anything in the next few days my giftee will get a PM to reassure them it's on its way.
