Bump for Myjah, Adam, Connor, Doug R and Zach.
Myjah: The Zap project is such a thoughtful and appropriate way to remember, thankyou for doing this.

Its great to see Adam, and Connor getting out with Doug on the Smoke Blanchard course. Zach would have loved it - and would of climbed forwards, backwards, by headlight and with a beer in hand.

Yes, Steve,
while doing the Rock Course last week, I couldn't help but think how fun it
would have been for Zach, and with Zach.

He was totally right there with you guys, Adam - he would have freaking adored all of that. Thank you so much for the entry. Every single one of them has made me cry with gratitude, even the silly one of Justin and his busted ankles.

I can't wait to get on that rock course with Doug, hopefully someday soon - I've been so excited about it ever since he mentioned it this past summer. It looks beautiful!

I'm on a temporary hiatus from crocheting ZAPs (elbow ouchies), but I'd still love to know if anybody on SuperTopo is willing to take one on an adventure when I can start crocheting again.

Much love <3

Also, Shaun - omigosh, that day was so much fun! I still have the video you took of me losing my knife on the alcove swing!

For those of you who knew, met, or were touched by Zach. Wombat Grips, which the late Zachary shaped some of the most amazing climbing grip ever for, is offering a 2nd round of hoodies sporting the Parke Designs Logo that benefit NOLS scholarships.

This is from the Wombat Grips website:

"In honor of the late great Zack Parke, Wombat Grips is offering another round of Parke Hoodies. While Zack is off on his next big adventure keep his spirit close to your heart. We are donating ten percent of the proceeds to the Zachary Parke Memorial Fund in the hopes of establishing a NOLS scholarship in his name."

It's cool to sport the (P) logo these days, even if you didn't know Zack. All the holds that Zack sculpted are amazing and worth having on your wall too.

Here are some pics of the hoodies in action.

Adam - I did not realize that ZAP shaped some of those WOMBAT holds! I have always given full blame for those subtle curves and wrong-way angles that turn what look like bomber holds into hideous nightmares on Scott.

Mike - theres been a cast of thousands involved in shaping those holds - get mad with em and you're mad with half the population of Santa Cruz.

Scott remains the main offender though.

Just a heads up that the second day of preliminary hearings was today. There were a bunch of people there on Tuesday, and I know more were going today. Zach's mum April was in and and out of the court room - this must be so hard for her as they started to get into the details of what happened.

Bump for the Parke/Wombat hoodies! I love mine and wear it all the time, climbing, to the gym, to work, around town. You really want one of these things, and not just because it is going towards a good cause.

I couldn't be in court today, but I heard it was a pretty tough day. Let's all send some love to April, and remember to hug the people you love extra tight today.

Hi Silver - I'm not sure who scheduled the hearing for this time, I think that the expectation was that it would be more of a formality, but it turned out not to be. I'm sure this is going to be hard for April whatever time its scheduled.
I know that she has been reading this thread at times, so keep her in mind and keep posting your kind good wishes - thanks for that.

Best wishes to Zach wherever his new adventures are taking him. And send some good thoughts to his family. There are going to be some rocky spots this holiday season.

Steve (and everyone else) thanks from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful pics of Zack (squatch). They mean so much to me. It is always hard at first but once the tears dry, I have a huge smile on my face and my heart. Zack is there with every one of your climbs, you know he wouldn't miss it. I celebrate with all of you every one of your achievements. Love to all. OOOOOOOO
