Two year sentence. Very emotional sentencing. As they say, the apple never rolls far from the tree. You can read what Zach's mom said about the driver. What a heart she has. I do hope he listens.

There is no right in this story.

Burdick said he did not see benefit from "sending Mr. Dess off to be warehoused in prison."

True that, all his time won't bring back the time that was too brief.
We miss Zach.

Next time.

love that classic faber/zack silly face, and that psyched to solo picture makes me laugh every time.

A year flies by so quickly. Zach has lived on so richly through his friends. Thinking about his Mom. Heartbreak.

One year on, and many of Zach's friends came out to remember him.

Today is a year plus one day since Zach's death. There was a ride up to his ghost bike and avocado, pizza and beer (all his favorites). Lots of friends there remembering.

Some new photos showed up on the Facebook page. I don't think Mittens or Ryan will mind if I post them up here.

It is so hard for me to come to grips with such a tragic end to a beautiful
Life...especially with my own son so close in age. And the young teenage picture...just ripped my heart out....how I remember that look...

Such a wonderful circle of friends...a profound comfort to his Mom I'm sure...

Jahil and Mike, TFPU as I wish I could have been there. Looks like a lot of good folks showed up to spread the love.

Looks like the last climbing picture might be Big Chief in Tahoe?
