Those look like standard issue B-24's to me but it is hard to say. Besides,
the shot is likely from another B-24 so it seems to me they were on a
roundabout return from Adak or just boys out of Fairbanks getting some
time in. But as weathered as the tail feathers are they probably
didn't need to build any time.

Shaknstuff was a B24 F-7A the photographic reconnaissance version. probably the 11th Photographic Group (Mapping).

The site above has a copy of my photo but it come from me. I believe mine is the only and original print from 1944. It has been picked up by a few websites since I first posted it.
