This is a 9x9 photo that hangs on the wall in my office. I no longer recall where I got it. It is dated April 44, the B24 is rigged for photo reconnaissance and named Shaknstuff. I can't make out the BUNO

Just having my coffee in bed. The view is of the Ruth Gorge with the Pig (Denali) in the background. Good view of the massive face on Dickey and, also, Barrille. Not sure about the plane, could be of a vintage that we jumped out of in SF in 63/64.
You can also see the South Face of Bradley- Crouch and I put up a route on it "The Bourbon Bottle" in around 96/97.

The Bourbon Bottle--didn't Crouch write that one up? I seem to remember a bit-o-heaving on the glacier.

Is it possible to stump Donini? Hmmmm.
Hey, Jim, a harder one for you. Do you remember the name of the mountain in the background?

Banquo, I hadn't seen this thread. What a fabulous photo.
I hope that it's as treasured a possession in your household as it would be in mine.
Incredible.

Greg-
Glad you like it, perhaps you have something to trade for it. Probably means more to you than to me since I've never been there.
a couple years ago Donini invited me to go climbing with you and him but it rained or something and we didn't go.

I'll bet it brings back some memories Greg......and that plane could be right out of "China's Wings."

Those shadows are probably, given the location, from the Bears Tooth and Eye Tooth....subsidiary peaks of the Moose's Tooth.

Banquo... Bummer we missed the opportunity.
Christ knows what I'd have around here worthy of trading for it... a signed and dedicated Enduring Patagonia hardcover perhaps?
As far as I know, the world's supply of mint condition hardcovers is down to 8. (The ones left in my closet.)
China's Wings if you've already got one of EP?
PS: I've got a thing for nose art.

Those look like standard issue B-24's to me but it is hard to say. Besides,
the shot is likely from another B-24 so it seems to me they were on a
roundabout return from Adak or just boys out of Fairbanks getting some
time in. But as weathered as the tail feathers are they probably
didn't need to build any time.
