Hi Jeff,
I don't know of anybody who's climbed on the Chinese Wall. I've seen some photos of another formation in the Bob Marshall Wilderness that I think is probably better and I've heard it is unclimbed. I'll ask around.

You can still climb on the public land out there, but the crags on private property are off limits...

They ARE the Rimrocks, Goat--good call.

Mayor, if you didn't live so darn far away from me, we'd be getting out more...

Come for a visit in the Spring, sir Brian-- we have plenty of space and pads to keep you sound, and in one piece:-)

You guys are killing me, as usual.

I'm working on a major career change that should free me up some. My last job took too much time and still didn't make ends meet. I can't wait to get up that way.

I really need to visit my brother in Helena. Hopefully next summer, you'll all be hearing me asking about that batholith bouldering and climbing in the Helena/ Butte area.

I've loved every visit I ever made to Montana, but I three generations generations of family planted in the ground here in California and three above ground. I'm not moving. Though my last visit- sheesh. I almost stayed.

Tom K-

On that Mill Creek Report blog check out the COMMENTS on the Labor Day entry. I cutting new ground on a route I put up with a single bolt. Since we don't have many up here in Montana - I've decided to have a bolt war with myself. Currently working on funding - ask the UM - Outdoor Program for gas and bolt money in exchange for teaching a class on bolt wars. It will mostly be field trips.
