I just got off the phone with Tom Kingsbury.
Some of you will recall Tom and his brother Pat used to be quite active here on the forum.

Those Montana Batholith Bash bouldering events were absolutely killer! Or was there only one?

So yeah, I just read this trip report linked up thread by WyoRockMan, about an FA the Kingsburys and one of their buddies put up:
http://blog.mysteryranch.com/2013/09/going-big-and-going-home-the-first-ascent-of-the-pisce-wall/

I believe there was a thread done here about the route, called The Great Bear. Anybody know where that is? I couldn't find it in a search.

He's doing great!
Still climbing, still working as a cartographer, married, three-year-old son. His wife is a watercolorist.

Here's a thread on Blodgett, where I posted up a bunch of my own photos as well as topos from a guidebook done by John Harlin III:

That was a great trip up the Wedge at the Boulder Bash. It was good to hook up with an old friend who knows which way is up

Super Cool! WE loved Galatin canyon. the wall mart parking lot in Bozeman was pretty good digs for a few days waiting for van parts.. Clean and reasonably flat. . Closer to the black hills than Colorado??
