Yeah Klaus it's pretty lame when people have heros that inspire them.

By providing a concrete example of an individual struggling against overwealming odds, heros help give us the power, and will to believe in our own goals, in purposes, in achievement and in the joy of living.

Matt

Edit: Klaus's post is now missing but he was basically calling everyone who publicly stated Bachar was a hero a mindless heard of sheep.

...joy of living...

Perhaps the lack of this joy is Klaus' problem. When you hate yourself and are mad at the world, heroes are irritating.

Oh, and welcome to the forum JB. My Boreal "Jazz" shoes lasted 10 years and got resoled 6 times. Hated to see those things go.

It has been brought to my attention that faulty intelligence has led us to believe that John Bachar was actually participating in this forum. This faulty intelligence directly led to the sickening lovefest that we now see. Knowing that the intelligence was not genuine, we are face with a decision. Do we cut and run? Or do we stay the course and continue to act as if it is really John? I feel it is in our best interests to stay the course.

Have a nice day and God bless America!

Like I said, you need a shovel for this forum, and of course especially for crap from the usual suspects, Kofi and GWB. You too K. Jealousy comes to mind.

"sickening lovefest? superhomo's?"

hmmm ... came off a little thick, eh?

Hey, when one has some respect for a guy who has inspired many a climber (only non-California climbers?) and you want to commend him for it when a chance sighting (real or not, to be determined) comes upon supertacos ... all it comes to is grief!?!

Well, the praise has been unleashed ... . The horror!!

Sorry, I haven't anything else to contribute ... talk amongst yourselves.

Enjoy!

It's still raining as of today and it's actually dumping. I can't get out of dodge because I'm house sitting and other commitments. But I don't mind at all, it's really cool here now, actually it's the best time of the year. Nobody here and no weird scene that's always present in Yosemite.

I was in El Cap meadows yesterday morning and there was not one person nor any vehicles there. So cool.

Jody

I was in LA and then I came back I never made it to Wawona, I can't call you on a phone because I can't hear a phone conversation. I havn't used a phone since 1972. I looked around to see if you were here in the valley on Sat and Sun but I didn't see you.

To call me here in Yosemite you can leave a message at the SAR cache.

Mike (Gramicci) I've got extra computers or if you have your own Laptop you can easily get connected to my network either hardline Ethernet or wireless.

Anybody who thinks Bachar never fell soloing never heard his Saxaphone solos in the Ahwahnee Dorms in the early 80s...

A few years later, he was shredding though.

Welcome. Don't get addicted. We've even got Werner in our clutches now.

Yeah, it's the gathering of the tribes. We have a few more names to go before we get together for the final event. The big question is "what kind of event?"

Battle to the death (there can be only one...)

or

Tupperware party (good for leftovers in the cooler of your van)

or

Everybody invests in a gated retirement community in El Portal. Harding's old climber's home made real.

or?... Subject for another thread

Peace

Sorry ShortTimer,
That is where Powell keeps his harem locked up during daylight hours. Maybe AlDude can squeeze you in next door.
