Mal, just for the record, spoke with Dario and he had GUD words about you. I knew there was no ill intent, thanks for the communications though. I hope we can get Dario back in the shoe business, he and his crew do a great job.
Peace

I apologize for trying to sell off my stuff here.
It's just economics right now.

Have two pair JB's size 10, and 10 1/2
both brand new never used, brand new.

Anyone want to buy them?

I was going to list on EBay tomorrow.

Just asking...

I have a pair of lightly used 12.5's Legends resoled with C4. Resoled by barry, brand new as I like c4 better, but love the Acopa shape.

These are much tighter than the 12.5 JB.

Should fit a size 12 or 11.5 foot.

any takers?

50 bucks + plus shipping and they are yours.

Only climbed in a few days...soaked a few times to try and make strech though.

I've got new pair of Acopa JB size 12 in box, collecting dust. At some point I'll eBay them or PM me now if you're interested.

I wear US11 street shoes, and 43.5 Mythos are great for all-day wearing, but these 12 Acopa JBs were too big. I had tried smaller, but the shape required toe-curling and I'm more of a flat-toe kind of guy.

Hmmm, no one would have a spare pair of size 4's lying around collecting dust?

My first leather shoes. I must say, supple and firm in all the right ways!

Sad to see them go, and glad I got a pair when I did...

Ordered a pair of Aztecs size 11 on ebay, I couldn't find JB's in 11.

They came today and fit I would have preferred the JB's as they are lined and have a stiffer sole.

So, all my street shoes are 9.5 and Aztec 11 fits.

There is a website that lists JB's as available but it's weird, no address, no telephone number. I placed an order and it wouldn't take credit cards or paypal. Two payment options, bank account and routing number or personal check. So, to see what would happen, I tried personal check. It emailed me an invoice which did have an address which I looked up on google maps. It's a house and google says somebody runs a website design business there. So, either the website is a ripoff or it is a phoney store to show clients.

intersting to hear about the sizing issues.

all of mine have sized out pretty much the way that jb said they were supposed to.

i've had two pair of JBs and one Legend in my street size.

I did one pr of Sidewinders and 2 of Merlins in a half-size below my regular street size.

Just bought another pair of Merlins in street size so that I have a comfy pair in the bank.

I have major problems getting shoes that fit-- a few shoes will fit for the forefoot, and others for the heel. I typically have to stretch the toebox pretty aggressively to break them in, regardless of model, so I can't usually resole. Merlins were really close to a fit for me, and I loved the design of the shoe esp. on steep techy smears. Really sad to see them go away.

Really

I'm not that stupid, I didn't send him anything but an order and a follow up email. No reply. I chose the will send personal check option, I won't actually send a check of course.

I ended up giving mine away, unfortunately the last did not fit my foot shape and I would rather they see some use then sit in the closet.

This thread stimulated me to action (no mean feat) and yesterday I purchased a second pair of Acopa JBs because I like the shoe so much. I found that Backcountry Experience in Durango, CO still has Acopa shoes in stock. Note on sizing: I wear street soes in size US size 11/ Euro size 44-1/2, but have a perfect fit in Acopa JB size US 12-1/2 / Euro size 46-1/2.

Much props to Lisa and her hubby, I know for a fact that they tried really hard to keep things going. It sounds like everyone involved did, and I am sure it had to be a very tough decision to close up shop.

Lisa gave me an Acopa shirt during a fundraiser for Tyrus that I was at last year....I will be treasuring that one now for sure.

Naperville, Illinois?

I wonder... Acopa did lose a box full of sample shoes when I was around... Always wondered what happened to them.

John posted that stuff up. It's another of his sites that is lost to us.

(John is pointing out the different shapes and what kind of rock each design is good for.)

This is a hard trip down memory lane. It's a little bit painful which is why I rarely pull these out. I think someone needs to get over here and take these photos out of my computer for me.

Thanks for posting that. Sorry you're feeling bad. By the way - those Enzos look sick.
