Tried on my first pair of Acopa's the day I went to Bishop for my first time.

I wear an 43 (11) in mens.
My La Sportiva Solutions are a snug fit 41.5 (8 1/2)
I tried some 41.5 Acopa Merlins on, even fully unlaced couldn't stick my fat feet in there. Had to go with a pair of 42.5 (9 1/2's), and they still hurt more than my Solutions!

Very solid shoes. Stuck great on the highball slab in the buttermilks.

Got my pair of 9 1/2 Merlin's for $45 brand new at a local gym here in Sac.
I have a feeling these shoes aren't gonna go in the back of the closet with all my other shoes I've burnt. Many future resoles are in order for both these and my Solutions.

I loved my Auroras... One of the few shoes designed for really narrow feet. So sad to see this happen :-(

Mountain Gear is selling off their stock cheap, JB's for 79.95, but sizes stop at 10.5 and I figure I'm a 13 or 13.5 (with an 11.5 to 12 street shoe)

love the merlins-- that's why i bought two extra pair and keep them down in a cool, dark place alongside the wine.

i've pretty much worn out the current pair, so i'm going to break out one of the new ones for the summer climbing. they may get a break-in run this weekend.

Klk-

right got that. I got 'em and love 'em. The thing is a toe injury makes softer shoes a crap shoot. Haven't used them much yet.

What is it with this wine cellar reference. Who the hell has SPACE in their wine cellar. Its full of wine after-all.

in my house, wine seldom survives long enough to get into the cellar.

but i got a screamin deal on my favorite foothills sangiovese so splurged on a case. yeah, im cellarin table wine. but i saved enough money to buy another pr of merlins.

heh

A birthday gift from my Daughter Galen. Given to me right after John's departure. It sits on a table with my copy of Yosemite Climber.

Spent all morning searching online for Acopas. Can't find Spectres or Merlins in my size. Deep sadness. I wear a 10.5 in Spectres and 9.5-10 in Merlins. I've tried all the mom and pop shops I know as well. no luck.

Please help me people of the Taco. Does your local shop have Acopa?
If they do, please post the store name so I can buy them. I'm about to wear through the last good pair I have and no one has Acopa rubber for resoles.

You might give BD retail a shout in SLC. They had a few pairs left on closeout awhile back I seem to remember seeing.

JB gave me a pair of Merlins when he was here in Chattanooga back in ... 08'... some of the best shoes I've ever climbed in ... like having a pair of eagle talons superglued onto my feet. You can also stand well on any side of the shoe including the heels with no wobble or slippage.

I have slightly used Merlins in US10 that I would sell and a brand new pair of B3's in US9.5 for sale too. Just too many shoes... I am keeping my Aztecs.

I purchased a pair of Aztecs on amazon. If you like the Legends, they may have your size available.
