Thanks to everyone for you condolences. Can anyone tell me how tough a climb that is?

it is 5.9. there are a few pumpy lieback moves, a sustained 5.8ish awkward crack in a corner, a couple moves of 5.9 wide stuff, and a 5.7 chimney up high.

Sorry for your loss Mattey. I am not sure what climb he may have been on. All I heard is that it was in the general area of Absolutely Free.

Sorry to hear this sad news.

The park's general contact information is at http://www.nps.gov/yose/contacts.htm It says: "We usually reply to emails within one week. [There's an e-mail form.] If you need information sooner, call us from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Pacific Time (closed for lunch) at (209) 372-0200; press 3 then 5."

I couldn't find an after hours/emergency contact number. Once you contact the right person in the NPS, you'll probably have to provide identification before they'll discuss this with you.
