I hear there was a body found up in a tree by passing climbers near Absolutely Free. It had been there for some time and was partially eaten by bears.
Does anyone have any details? It sounds like it was someone soloing.

hopefully this is not a troll...

I know of a party headed up on Sunday to do Absolutely Free, and I also know, through completely other discussions, of people soloing that route (the Center)...

My hope is that this hasn't happened at all, but that may not be the case.

If this is real, then it's grim. Had someone been reported missing?

Grim is right. I hope it IS a troll rather than early truthful report. Sending out prayers that it's not true.

I hope this is not true. It does seem rather unlikely as the original poster put it however. He said the body had been there for some time and was partially eaten by bears. That area see's a fair amount of traffic and I would be surprised for a body to go unnoticed for a while.

Fairweather also nailed the first post about the last fall off Serenity as well. Damn, that's some ugly news.
