i remember a guy with a toyota pickup, he had this big geodesic dome in the back as a camper shell.
made out of roof shingles.
looked like a giant pineapple driving down the road.
i wanted to toss a cig butt on that thing,

The Women's Day was a "display" item, along with some fake apples and other corny old-people stuff. That's my story and I am sticking to it ;)
We bought our Westie van from old people. They left it stocked with several (opened) containers of wet wipes and hand lotion, and a Costco-sized pack of cheap toilet paper. We acknowledged their "generosity" with a polite smile but drew the line when they tried to throw in the nasty portapottie they kept behind the passenger seat. (Ew!)
You scored on the estro-mag and fake fruit. Sweet rig. Happy trails!

The locals may put your trailer to the test. Perhaps some extra steel
reinforcing would be a good idea to keep bears out.

Yikes- note to self. No food in the egg. It's basically a paper wrapper in bear-terms.
Hiker: The cat house is just that- a house for my outdoor cat complete with furniture, and small door and steps and girly-cat-art, and electric for lighting and a heating pad for cold winter days. Years ago I had a burly old tom-cat who lived in the yard and hated being in the house so I built it for him. He immediately knew it was HIS house and lived out his dying days there. Our new big tom has also moved in now that the old cat has passed.
Edit to add: The "pineapple" trailer sounds funny. We could just paint ours white with a big yellow spot.

Teardrops are such sweet little bitty campers! A couple years ago my neighbor in JTree had one that he had made. He'd found an old Popular Mechanics (or something) magazine. It was very cool.

snug counts when it comes to cozy. most of my favorite sleeping units have wheels, even the winged one passes the bivi test.
when i accepted the weather job at the grand canyon airport, they emphasized that no housing was available.
i was fairly coy about the ace up my sleeve, that i have a long history of poaching bivies.
never one to use anything for it's intended purpose, when i ran across an immaculate '77 celica GT liftback in a flagstaff junkyard, the vision of this piece of eye candy under a tailored car cover, with me snoozing inside was quite compelling.
of course a mod that allows the passenger door to open would have to be included in the cover's design.

it lacked an engine/tranny so negotiating for this easy towing vehicle went smoothly. i feigned poverty, and arranged easy payments of twenty dollars on an every so often basis, cheaper than storage. the accounting was informal and
a friendship had evolved by the time i took delivery, winching it into the back of my cube van.
as a stealth sleeper, there are a world of parts that can be removed, the shifter boot replaced by varment screen for the breathing hole for instance. it's amazing what a featherweight it is, and to put a positive spin on predation,
it's getting even lighter; i upgraded to alloy rims off a similar vintage toyota cressida...
an effort to embellish the pretense that what dwells within is worthy of a cover.
the towbar was stored under the hood after being tugged into its current location with a fourwheeler ATV.
brakes and steering remain to facilitate more exotic placements. with a driver, (and temp seat) a snatch block,
and two equalized ATV's, there's a lot of possibilties

Bump for improvements today - getting ready for the Yosemite trip:
I also tore out the paneling in the divider area, glued and reinstalled it, as well as setting up the kitchen, and installed tie-downs on the front platform for the EZ-Up, lawn-chairs and woodbox.
