For a first run the Woodfest was killer imo.. Burning man started with a few.

We dont want that LOL!

But we need to plan the event at least 6 months in advance eh.. Gives me time to badger guys like Paul Crawford and such.. But i think it needs doing as a tradition unto the millenniums..

Next year we need some good stories to be told.

Sponors would be good.

A ruffle to climb with celebrities maybe.

Music for sure.

Crap on foghat,, they are just fools in a city..;-)

Ill bring my gear, everyone else can bring theirs and we will test that generators capacity on "eleven".. Just need to come up with a play list among the varied folk. which will take 6 months minimum lol! ;-)

And Moose you know celebrities ? Haul em on up!

Ron, ANY music would be good. And, if you can tell stories as good as you write, people would love to hear them for sure! We need two speakers per day, I guess.

I don't know any celebrities except myself, and if you climb with me, you would most likely be on the sharp end! ;-) We could call it "Climbing with a Boob"!

Another idea, let's hire Chicken Skinner, he is GOOD!

Our first event was a good start, but we can do better. We need more input from other people for sure.

I thought the 1st annual event was a great start,
the people I met were all very cool,
the pig n feed was great.
The auction and donations made some $ supporting a new guidebook.
(Hows that going Dan?)
I brought my acoustic bass guitar in case a jam broke out, but it never did.
Brought shoes and gear in case other geezers in search of 5.3d wanted to git after it, but that didn't happen.

Had a good time checkin out an area I had not been to before, pounded some booze n bowls with some new friends and look forward to the 2nd Woodfest!

Kenny - finally lead Dr. Sleep. Was able to get a 0.4 just below the bolt but still clipped it. Glad I did, the next placement under the roof is quite a ways above it. Total thought provoking placements the whole way.

Dan - we also did Long Arm. Might be the best climb up there??? The partners and I all loved it. Great crack at the start with thin, balancey moves for the entire top half all the way to the chains. Super fun.

The top tier is top notch.

go do LZA while your in the canyon,, its QUICK and easy. the approach is all of 50 to 65 SECONDS from the pavement.

I need consensus ...need a map? I hold the RECORD for the shortest approach to any WOODFORDS climbs with "tangerine" and LZA and the old top rope there.

I'm free tomorrow too! Probably gonna do some solo stuff and hang out with the dog instead though. You get out often in the midweek? I'm cruxing on the midweek partners now that my main bud is road tripping. Either way, have fun!

Developer goggles?

A very fine local cragging destination anyway.

Hopefully I haven't provoked a diarrhea of outrage! LOL!
