and Rockjox could use a little humility. He puts down other people, brags about his use of alcohol and drugs, and then throws a tantrum over a photo that supposedly might jepodize his chance of getting a job?
I think if Rocjox had eaten a little humble pie and asked for the photo to be taken down in a decent manner, it would have been. But he wasn't decent about it, wasn't humble ever, and now wants his cake and to be able to lord it over the guys who poked back at him.

First of all, 99% of the time I don't open politically oriented threads, and I never open one that looks like its raison d'etre is to inflame. So I actually have no idea the specifics of this issue. But I've seen this before-- here and in the non-internet world.
If certain posters like stirring up other posters by posting opinions and arguing those opinions, there's going to be fighting. If you don't just back off, you are likely to get hurt.
If you did the same stuff in a bar, you'd get into a bar fight. Do you like to get into bar fights? Aren't you just asking for a bouncer here to protect you when you could protect yourself just the way you do in a bar? ("hey, dude, sorry, whatever, I am backing down here..." then you walk away and tell your friends and you all agree about what an a@#$hole he was, but not so he can hear you)
If you feel your fight survival impulse come up while on supertopo, use your flight survival impulse and back away. To a climbing related thread. Where the rest of us who have no need for a moderator hang out.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't always agree with everything people say on this site. I've probably offended some people myself, maybe. If I walk into a comedy club and the content offends me, I leave. Polarizing views on politics, personal morals and religion are ALWAYS going to offend someone. But I respect their right to them as long as they're are not actually taking someone's civil rights away. (of course that's open to interpretation also)

I went over to argueanything and looked at several threads. The one entitled "socialism" had the most comments;141.
A lot of the posters were posting data. Was it all good. No. It had some spin posts, certainly.
