Supertopo will cease to exist with the addition of a moderator.

You of all people should know this rox, if there was a mod, you would already be history, not that you wouldn't take others down with you.

NO moderators. That's what makes this site good. You want moderators go to rockclimbing.com.

If someone's really out of line people will email those with the mallet and they will get the whack a mole. Perfect.

One of the great things about Supertopo is that it doesn't need a moderator. The combination of very well-thought out an well-written content and the presence of acknowledged legends in our sport who are also very mature in their dealings on this site create a very good environment.

With all due respect, if you don't like a particular thread, don't go there, stop patronizing it. This forum is hardly a base pit. I'm here, I invest my precious time here, because I found it to be one of the most dynamical forums on the internet. Way to go, Owner, of Super Taco!

NOT NEEDED! Just ignore the threads that get out of hand. Ignore the threads that are off color. Ignore the political threads. Ignore anything that gets up yer arse. It's that simple.

If a moderator starts moderating me... I, for one, will be visiting FAR LESS OFTEN! (I have a wife who does my moderating.)

Lord, help me to change the things I can,
Accept those things that I cannot change,
And give me the wisdom to know the difference.

Nice job cragman! I've said that one more than I'd like to admit.....

Moderator?

YOU had another meltdown, another classic example of an old guy taking the internet waaaay too seriously. Try self-moderation. As in drink less, think less, and post less.

Try not to think of Supertopo as your full time job.

Part of me strongly agrees with the "no mods" sentiment expressed in every post above.

But this climbers' forum, no less than MySpace, has shown a real capacity for runaway cyber-bullying. Fun for some.
