Drinking a nice Waterloo Dark, from the Brick Brewery up here in the Great White North.

Hi Susan,

How's Righty tonight? He's my favourite. And that is to say nothing bad about Lefty. ;)

"He's" a girl. Hangin' in there.

Just waitin' for Yosemite to get washed down here to Cruz. Shorter drive. Or maybe if it doesn't make it this far we can sail there instead.

Waiting for slosh slosh.

We escaped to Maui & are currently working on being drunk.

Total bliss, to be out of the land of snow, ice, & cold.

Cracked a Sierra Nevada Nooners Pils - pretty darn good! Not Trumers or Urquel but close!
I give it a 90.

We're celebrating the reopening of our gravel driveway, after 2 weeks of shoveling snow, chopping out 2" - 4" of water ice, & then suffering 2" of rain, which converted the gravel into a bog.

My last 4-WD escape from the driveway, on Monday of this week, left 6" deep ruts.

Today, we escaped a dryer area without incident in Heidi's Ford pickup, & checked out Choss Creek in flood on our way to town to collect our mail.

Choss Creek is running high, but we've seen it a little higher.

The waterfall on the left is flowing 10-X normal flows & we've never seen the waterfalls to the right before.

Rivers in South Idaho are at all-time highs for this date & many roads are blocked. It seems appropriate to get drunk tonight.

PTPP! Indeed it is. A neighbor gave us a bottle for Christmas, & after we drained that on New Year's Eve, it made it onto our buy list. Our local Costco is now carrying it at an affordable price. I even noted it has a Wine Spectator rating of 92.

Love that Columbia River wine. Generally better than Cali in my opinion. But, that is a broad statement.

From the best of 5 or seven 'local' offerings these two seasonal specials.they're great individually & make for one smooth Black 'n Tan.X2 so for want of a better term I got way past buzzed
And after Deep dentil scaling ( Gettin' old sucks ) with the Novocain plus.
I was not up all night.
( like Anita 5.14 must have been a day ago)

Saving the Jibber Jab for those I wuv. . .

When up all night I write where ever the ef I'm at.

when something jibber comes to mind I jabber wok it out.

Then, after time, if it's 3am I leave it till I'm focused
then see that it has taken to far a leap
To far off topic or AMBIGUOUS.

Play nice ? or more to the point - Why are You jump'in in?

I've seen the colors that fly 'round hear and since I don't drink
I've stayed way away.

Happens, an old flame called to say she has been diagnosed,. ,
Ku-put she says . . . .( Tears and hugs, delivered) . .
So I got drunk.

But soon I'll be burnin' em with the wise and earth-flower from way back
All pray for MAGURITE KONCZ, please. . . .( that is pronounced with a soft or silent 'c')

Saturday now, not Friday, and I'm in the south-central BC town of Grand Forks, and not drunk. But in an effort to remedy that situation, I stepped into a liquor store.

What I saw was... I'm not sure. Maybe a message from god?

Holy schist Ghost! Donini Wine!

The last time I spotted any Donini wine, was in an Alberta liquor store back about 1983, when the lad Kevin & I had decided to retreat from the Canadian Rubblies to the Tetons, to escape constant snow & rain, snafflehounds, grizzlies, well-meaning park rangers, tourists & those damn ARETE signs.

Everything was alrete with us, after we found Donini at the Teton climbers ghetto.

Of course he liked his family's wine.

Not night on the east coast yet. But it's Friday and since I'm pretty much hating my boss right now, I went out at lunch with a pal in Philadelphia and got lit. Yeah me.
