About four beers, and working on margarita #2. The stars are shining but the lake ain't frozen yet. Chasing the smallmouth bass, trying to beat Anita's 3 lb 12 ouncer this summer.

It's a drinking night on the ranchette. Expected low of 19f., Heidi's Alma Mater, Boise State plays football with Air Force on a cold night in Boise, & we will be cheering or jeering for the TV version of the game.
Two bottles of Red Wine open. Our secret Campus Oaks Zin & H3 Cab. Sluuurp.
I am so glad I don't get to suffer the Friday night stupidity on ST politard threads. Fukin jerks.

The little lady said the other day she wants to move to Boulder!
I tried to tell her I'm not that kinda guy, but I will visit her there,
as long as we're chaperoned. It's gonna take a sixer of Guinness and then
some of that Drambuie. I hope that'll do. Wait, Drambuie is kind of a
Prancer drink, isn't it? OK, it's goin' down the drain.

OH Yeah! And our SLC buds are visiting for the weekend. Some of you met Jerry & Angie at the COR party last June. Too cold to rock climb, but Jerry & I will flyfish in 30 f. temps for the big ones, then we need to plan our next international adventure, eat, drink, & celebrate cheating death while fishing.

The local that I like most,
this year the Two Roads Brewery
put out very small batches of the Rose Mary's Baby;
a pumpkin n' spice influenced 6.5abv larger,
and an even smaller batch of the Double bock;
Root Of All Evil, - which I missed out on entirely.
The climbers that are defiantly laying claim to the realm are un-worthy.
impure - and all to happy to allow the whole-sale bolting of every thing by others.
claiming to care other-wise but in secret, glad at the dumbing down; the sanitizing of risk,
The reducing of climbing to a -all safe and predictable - rope sport.
And that this mediocrity coincides with Thier Ascension.

WTF? I spend a Friday night in the world's longest cave - setting a New World's Record, incidentally - and NOBODY POSTS?? Does the whole state of California go dry when I'm not around to harass you?
Seriously - WTF is WRONG with you people???? Pathetic wankers....
Anita and I are warming up here on a cool Montreal evening with a rather good "cheapy" wine I picked up in Kentucky last week, Trapiche Cab Sauv from Argentina. Knott bad for 1.5 litres for $7.99 US.
I also brought back some proper Espolon Reposado tequila ... that could be up next.
