It's still daytime for you but it's night for me - I'm in Italy!

And after the wine I had the mandatory one-a-day gelato

Fritz with a Chianti Ruffina? And then Phylp with a fine(but young) Brunello? In Italy even!

I take back what I've said about you heathens.

How cool, I get to start the festivities tonight.

Okay all you west coast, oak chip, fruit bomb, slag suckers, have I got an interesting wine that is enchanting the hell out of me.

Tenuta delle Terre Nere Etna Bianco from the Carricante varietal. Think tropical fruit and herbs and salt air. Super long minerally finish. Lean and clean and refreshing.

Ahhhh, Firenze! One of my favorite places.

Going dry tonight! Fritz drank me under the table. I had most of a Sterling Chardonnay last night huddled against the cold wind at CoR. Good times with Fritz, Crimpie and Brassnuts.

Tried to get a campsite in Blodgett Canyon tonight but I was too late.

I was nursing a cup of tea and a Z-pack last night - vicious sinus infection. No thought of the grape or the grain.

Good Friday evening everyone! I am celebrating today's acquisition of my return airplane ticket to Yosemite for this fall's wall season. I'm helping my longtime friend with a writing project, and he returned the favour today with 25,000 United frequent flyer points - yay!

So I'll be in the Ditch from mid-September on, and looking for partners for a couple walls. Hoping to make it El Cap routes #50 and #51 with any luck.

So if you have frequent flyer points, and want to climb a wall with me, we could probably work something out.... ;)

That wasn't much of a segue, was it? Guess I need some more Cab.

I fear I might still be on the wall for the premier of the Wings of Steel movie, but I predict - based on what I have heard from confidential sources - that Steve Grossman will be resoundingly boo'd for what he says in the movie. In fact, I will bet anyone a six-pack of King Cobras that this will be the case. Any takers? I'm getting thirsty already.

On the night shift, but luckily I can still partake.

Deep breathes for me, none of the sauce, but I'm trying hard to get my co-workers drunk on vodka.

So far, no takers, I'll be trying with the whiskey soon.

You folks are all wimps...no one will tell me why jaybro's bouldering pic doesn't qualify as an example of bouldering, but DOES qualify for S&M.

Sheesh...how drunk do I have to get y'all?!

Cheers!

Hullo, LS. Long time, no schlepp. What's new and exciting?

What an amazing coincidence! It just so happens I am having a margarita as well. Some tequila I scarfed at an all-you-can-drink week in Cozumel some years ago, a bottle I found recently that I had forgotten I had stashed. Plus Cointreau. Don't have any Triple Sec just now. Using Minute Maid Limeade with Real Lime juice and some lime slices.

Oh my goodness, my glass is empty!

Um, two or three beers, and three [what was I thinking?!] margaritas from the El Mazatlan restaurant in Cave City, Kentucky.

Down here at Roppel Cave, part of the World's Longest Cave. And tomorrow, we shall set a New World's Record.

How many of YOU have ever set a New World's Record? Huh? Huh? Well...???

Pete, I find your post rappelling, and am going to have to fortify my sensibilities with something from the bar.

One martini on a Thursday night and feeling fine for a short while there. Sadly, more does not make better. Saved $3 by getting it before 6:00.

I do my ranting and insulting directly on other threads.

Trying to get out of sea-kayaking this weekend. I hate wet and cold at the same time. Hoping to steer the party to a nice brisk ascent of Old Baldy instead.

Goodnight Fritz

Monopolowa Vodka from Austria (gay friendly) one proper martini, gently shaken, and two screwdrivers.

It is Friday now, right?

Phylp - How about a Firenze TR? God I love that place.

Taking my daughter and 4 of her twenty something friends "Mtn Climbing" on Sunday. (yay. I got out of s-s-s-sea k-k-k-kayaking)
