Then you must remember Royally Pissed Off, A Satisfried Mind, TM is Nuts and I'm Chock Full of Lame Come-Ons (drum solo), and the admittedly tasteful, nearly commercially potent Let's Slime the Captain, Again.

Peer pressure, gotta acknowledge it, dude. I like it so you should, too. It's how Carrol Shelby rolled. We still got his chili. And the museums full of cars nobody can afford to drive like we used to drive, even, get to f*#kin'

if we were really cool. And you kids, with sucky music, you'll have to buy 'em to drive 'em. Our friends used to own real stanky machines that burned a hell of a lot of rubber and came from the benefits of being able to kill and maim the innocents of the world with Napalm, our palms, Palmolive, and palmetto leaves. But we left no scars, just a buncha rustin cars, and show me the Way to the nest Wixey Gar...

Mouse, clarification; the Warlocks / dead a Moraga band?! or did you mean the warlocks changed to GD because a Moraga band named the warlocks had a hit?

I know that before my time, the dead played at my alma mater, Campolindo ( a Moraga high school) and later while attending said school we saw Saunders & Garcia play In Rheem.

I've been off this thread of "my people" too much in the last two months, because of having some outdoor-travel fun.

Home for the weekend!

ok! We have been tasting/testing some Bluenose Zinfandel tonight!

My nose is not blue, but I like the 16.8% alcohol listed on the bottle.

Lighten UP. I jest got back from 9 days on the San Juan & follow up hikes on Cedar Mesa!

I'm pretty mellow, but we are at home for the weekend.

and for us turkeys. We had wake-up turkeys on the San Juan!

again! Bhombed, mombed, next thing you know it's Mothers Day, not Frank Z, but his mother (the lady with the halo sitting next to Joe Green, the Eye-tie operaman, whose being is interrupted by my Lizzie's a-bumpinn' him as she sits down in his lap, mistaking it for mine, as we have been prone to do it when I bring over the BIG BOTTLE of Sauvignon Blanc). I pride myself on selecding the Blong.

The doughboys (Doh!nines) of WWI, not WWTwo, ferxsakes, someone akshully gspelt it WWOne...

As I wash aying, the dobes used to call it "vang blong" or some such orribull term, glondg, or bong...

PLONK! Aha!

Vin blanc, another snowy Fernchism. Boy, how... I'm from Calif.ornia, and I can say van blonk. But to Plonk? Must have been a Friday nite...

By way of raving in my head the last few seconds, I have made a tenuous link to swimming, and now I recollect...

France, eh? The year following the victory meant tedia for the victors, reproducing damaged or destroyed art, taking away everything from the Germans and friends, and consolidating. Men like my Grandad were needed, and he was their. He played his part in the final act of the great war.

He won both of his races in the Seine. The 100m Backtoke and the 100m Free. I recently gave these medals to a niece who'll like them. He was a truck driver on the shell-torn roads, returned with swimming medals, and became a salesman for the Kraft Cheese Co. Such is the legacy of the Mouse, and so is the legacy of another dead soldier. A bien tot, Monsier Plonk.

Jay my bro, all that golf shut down your mem.

You never heard of the GD, never went to that Campogringo, and certinly can't possibly know how I know what I know, which I will now plainly spew.

One night, several centuries past, in the SMC gym, we had a light show, and to help out, we Gaels invited the Jefferson Airplane (Signe, not Grace), and a local group, the Warlocks, who I recently confused, to my embarrassment, with the local Merced group, the Morlochs, aka the Crystal Syphon, who predated the Warlocks. Got it? These locals, not the other locals, became the GED. I mean GD. The others were not important, but they have since become the leaders of the Twenty-First Century in Merced. Jim Sanders, your band rocked. Or so they say. I never heard you, but heard about you. I was not there in Merced. I got out. I heard BB, Albert King, the Who, and the Rest.
A month or so after the light show, I was in the SMC infirmary, recovering from massive ego loss in a pool tournament, when on the air comes The Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion. The GD. Theyir first no one. But then later came the news: local band, gotta be a fluke. Tsk tsk.

The Warlocks, a band with some guys from Moraga, had a hit, changed the band's name when it was released to the Grateful F*#king Deal.
Kinda exactly like a coulda-been band, based in Merced, the Brogues, donated the drummer, Elmore, and the rhythm, Duncan, to the Quicksilver Messenger Service.

We toasted Wally Barker's Birthday at the Base of Aurora(TRIP, same Base)with Guinness. Good stuff, that.
Then we watched PTPP futz around for awhile. Hours on A1! Poor Bastard.
He DID get up the thing, however. We staggered off into the Night....

my gentle frien, never try to take a 3320-pound linebacker and try to convert him to OW. He'll get stuck and if he ever gets out he'll try to kill you. It's a tankless task someone's gotta take, but don't. Have some more Guiness. I would join you but I am not driving. I have no license. No car. And I'd progly get way weird. Don't want that.

So be me up, Sprockie! Need no friggin automopile.

If you don't like bike commuters then go f*#k yourself.

Cleaning my folks house and fixing up the backyard after 5 months of house sitting while they've been on a bike tour in South East Asia. Assholes. I gotta find an apartment.... F*#K. I need a job on the East Side so I can climb more often.

"bike commute"
Bought a big house in the city Thought I could buy it in time
Had a big job in that city Be there on the dot or it's a crime
Nine miles in
Nine miles out
Day
Night
Work
Sleep
Dead
Dying
Finally
Stuff it
Wheels turning round n dround
Can't abide a single sound
But tires on pavement.
It soothes me now.
I paid my dues.
