Hope nobody was surfing IB that day.

The Department of Environmental Health lifted a water contact closure for the Imperial Beach shoreline on Sunday.

An influx of rain-driven sewage from Baja California prompted authorities Friday to extend an existing ocean-contamination advisory at Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge to include the entirety of the Imperial Beach coastline.

Oh Z, I can't tell you how bad it is! Please, San Diegan's and Baja lovers- check out the Bi National Environmental group "Wild Coast". They do great things.

I love the shot of that rotten old pin Aden.
KW, it's hard to get a bead on the steepness with the angle of the ropes in that second shot? Definitely looks like some primo stone though. Sweet photos.

There seems to be some pockets of nice rock on the north side of the 8, between Kitchen Creek Road and Viejas Mountain. Have you ventured around there much?

Pretty dang cool Aden!

It's funny, but I believe I know where both Warbler's spots are 'cause I mapped geology in those areas. The one with occasional nude people walking about for sure...a cool winter spot.

Thanks for the work guys!

Ray Olson-
Why the obvious route finding challenges, and the inherent skills demanded by this type of terrain have not been widely accepted - I have no idea.

Route finding skills, and dealing with the environment on its
own terms (you will have no choice) are universally upheld
in our sport, and San Diego rock climbing falls right in line
with these interests.

So, if you think that the brush is just too "icky" for you,
or feel it is better to let others develop and maintain the
access paths, then please, go to Joshua Tree.

Contractor. That place used to be known as the Wisteria Candy Cottage, before the original huge wisteria died that is. And nearby was a pretty good Basque restaurant.

Finding the path of lest resistance through chaparral is a skill honed through experience.
