I've got a Mark-II 7MM Mag that I'm selling. Stainless with synthetic stock. It's too big for White tails. Also have a Leupold VariX 3x9 compact (silver) that I could be convinced to sell with the gun.

Just funin' ya Ghoul.
Good combo for elk or moose, Prod.
Which Vari-X?
Anybody check out the latest American Rifleman? Some good stuff. Neat pic of the 51 year old P-210, the Benke-Thieman stocks on the Astra 400 are far out, news of the Rossi-Taurus merge, and the first time I've seen a trigger group make the cover shot.

Let's see, two Blackhawks, one in .41 mag 6" barrel, one in .32 H&R mag 4 5/8" barrel. One Single six .22 with 8 3/4" barrel. One Redhawk .44 mag with 6" barrel. One 10/22 with a weaver scope. Had an old .44 carbine and a Mini-14. Almost had a 77 varmiter in 25-06. Fine examples of American made quality firearms.
Go ahead Anders, let it fly, we can take it. I promise I won't take it personally. Sticks and stones and bullets....
Edit- Haven't received the AR yet. A fine publication. I just got my first Taurus this summer. Another .41 mag.

I've owned a number of Ruger arms over the years.. I like a number of Ruger's revolvers quite a bit. Particularly, the single action versions. Their Red Label Shotguns are superb. Of course, the No.1 is legendary.
Most other things they make, I can think of numerous other manufacturer's guns that are superior and preferred by most. Some of their semi-auto handguns are nice, but usually have bulky grips so you feel like you're holding a 2x4. They also usually lack the feel of quality. They feel cheap and plasticy frequently. Kind of like the difference between a Nikon camera and a Canon camera. The mini-14's have always sucked. They've never been anywhere near accurate, even when cold. And once they warmed up, things got really interesting. The same was true of the mini 30, as well.
Haven't used any of the new Ranch Rifle variations of the re-vamped Mini's. I'm sure a heavy barrel would help with accuracy, provided it's bedded properly. You have experience with the new/re-vamped versions, Ron?

The greatest Rugers list;
Mark II, best can and pest plinker
10-22, best autoload 22lr
Mini-14, if it had come out 5 years earlier it would no doubt have served as our service rifle into this millennium.
PC4, if I lived in Kalifornia this 10 round .40cal police carbine would be my front line. Mine has a Millet red dot (and a P94 that eats the same mags). Funny how a PC can be pc.
Super Blackhawk, a .44 you can hammer nails with
Redhawk .45Colt with 6", (with +P ammo) what I would carry in bear country (but Anders can't)
Red label shotguns, worth every penny, a good investment if cared for.
and their rifles put meat in the stewpot

Mini 14s don't have long range but their utility/reliability make them topnotch. (Note I did not include Mini-30s, and if you look carefully my list only mentions the P-94 which, although the most ergonomic of their pistols, is still too boxy for me, Nef.)

Also have a Ruger Red Label Clays edition. For the money, about a grand less than a Centori, this is the finest O/U out there, IMO. But it is all about the fit with shotguns.

My girlfriend and I both have 10/22's that are a blast (and cheap) to shoot. Too bad the lead-free ammo ban here will prevent me from bagging any rabbits with them anymore. I think .22lr hunting of game species should have been exempt from the ban Condor ban. The Ruger Mini-14's tempt me a little bit but I probably won't make that leap any time soon.
Not that I'd know about it here in CA, but the LCP recall seems to be a bit of a debacle. That plus the SR9 recall for drop safe issues as well? they do seem to be proactive about fixing their mistakes, but it's a little troubling to have this issue in both of their recent releases. Ruger also recommends carrying w/o one in the chamber. ??
I'm no pistol connoisseur or collector, I'll stick with my M&P 9mm.

Not everybody likes guns or even sees the point. That's fine, when the need arises it's a nice option. I've been a victim and I choose to be armed, but you can't always be armed, especially in some places that you think you might have the need. But in the home, always. I live on the edge of a tuff hood and heard gunshots just two nights ago. You can tell gunshots from fireworks, the sound is more directional and tends to echo around.

My favorites on your list, Ron. I also have owned a Vaquero... Loved that gun. 10/22's are a hoot! Fun guns to shoot and can get quite accurate with very little money spent. Kind of the Honda civic of guns, I think. A ton of aftermarket stuff made for them.

I love my Vaquero for its classic lines, but functionally the Blackhawk has more usable sights and you can change cylinders and shoot .45acp.
Either way we're talking single-action, which has severe tactical limitations and is really just for fun or putting down an animal (something I had to use one for once).

I'm a much bigger fan of their rifles and revolvers than their semi auto handguns. I had a P90 DC that was a jam-o-matic. Built like a tank, but it didn't like anything I fed it. Quality aside, I hate their politics.

Ruger has always rocked. Here I am shooting my Super Blackhawk .44 mag with climbrunride this summer. This single piece of iron has shot thousands of rounds over 20 years. This is my constant "camp gun" and the one I would turn to when the fireside conversation turns to, " if you were down to only one gun.."

Is that your riding outfit? :)
Kidding.
Bet you can hear THAT thing through the trees a ways.
I love my Super B, but if I could only have one firearm it would be a Rem 870.

Lederhosen Ron. I always drag them out yearly for the alpine effect. Under my left arm is a SIG .40.
