LOL Last night, my fifteen year-old daughter said the same thing. "Take his phone away."

Yesterday I contacted the White House via email asking exactly that; please just stop tweeting, as well as some other comments. Guess the Secret Service will be watching me now! But seriously, I did ask the President to act more maturely although I suspect he just might reject my input......

Sometimes I post stuff just to hear the whiners whine. It seems that, like Trump, they don't get enough attention.

Anyway, that song was written by one of the 'good' people who support trump and he felt proud enough about it to post it on line. It wouldn't surprise me if trump had listened to it.

Maybe I can prevail on Obama to tap his eight track player.

I've been listening to progressive radio since 2003 in one form or another

It puts you way in front of the curve for being informed
Stephanie Miller and Thom Hartmann are just fantastic
I can't listen to NPR anymore after being so spoiled

anyone else listen to it here?

That’s as unhealthy as 24 hour faux news. News bubbles will be the death of America.

In limited doses I’m sure it’s fine.

Otherwise, news bubbles are ruinous.

This seems sort of significant:

At a time when acts of defiance against the Trump administration are routine in Sacramento, the rebuke that breezed through the California Assembly this month still came as a jolt. Even Trump loyalists in the chamber joined in.

The message to the administration was clear: Forget about your plan to unleash on freeways a class of rebuilt trucks that spew as much as 400 times the choking soot that conventional new big rigs do. Getting caught behind the wheel of one of these mega-polluters in California would carry a punishing $25,000 minimum fine under the measure that lawmakers passed 73 to 0. It had the support of 25 Republicans.

"This was a reaction," said Chris Shimoda, vice president of government affairs for the California Trucking Assn., which sponsored the legislation. "A lot of people have made the investments to clean up their trucks. They don't want to see an obvious loophole that allows others to be gross polluters and undercut them."

..."We urge you to consider the adverse impact on the economy," said a letter that the Environmental Protection Agency recently disclosed from the Republican senators of Indiana, West Virginia and North Carolina. They warned EPA chief Scott Pruitt that the plan is ill-advised and disruptive to industry. Ten House Republicans concurred in their own letter, which warned the proposal is a potential job-killer. "We respectfully ask that you carefully consider the negative impacts," the GOP lawmakers wrote.

Lots of interesting points in the article.

From the failing CNN:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/29/politics/donald-trump-robert-mueller-demonize/index.html

Trump winning the fight to demonize Mueller?! That can’t be right. I keep waiting for reality to validate my genius over that idiot Trump, and reality keeps failing to do so!

First that stupid reality elected him president against my will and better judgment and political analysis, and now reality is saying that idiot is successfully working on a way to escape the results of Mueller’s findings?!

Stupid reality. In a contest between whether reality is right or I’m right, I win every time!

Rudy Tourette Guiliani can't keep his trap shut continuing to blow Trump's cover..

And now that Guiliani has blown Trump's cover on multiple occasions Trump supporters are deserting him in droves.

Oh wait...

A lot bigger news going on in Italy right now but you wouldn’t know it reading this drivel.

The news that the anti-EU populists in Italy couldn't form a government is actually probably good news, at least in the short term.

But it might only be a temporary setback for the populists bent on causing mayhem and destruction.

The news in Italy is another data point that people around the world are increasingly making isolationist decisions in response to their economic struggles. Many people seek scapegoats and are goaded into political positions by us/them arguments and hollow unreasonable promises. It's fine to recognize when one is dissatisfied; but that is useless if one does not take the additional step of considering what will really lead to satisfaction and making strides in that direction.

From my perspective, it would be more effective if people placed greater value on campaign finance and media transparency reforms, and finding better ways to balance capitalistic reward with socially-sustainable policies of rich/poor disparity.

Gutting regulations to maximize short-term corporate profit is going to drive our society into the ground, and the locust corporations will pick up and head elsewhere when they have razed our society. Then the present 1st and 2nd world can become the new 3rd world of unemployed desperate people ready to work for nothing to power the growth of other countries exploiting us. Like a big long-term global convection cycle of prosperity and poverty.

This guy is Trump Lite.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/29/politics/eric-greitens-missouri-governor/index.html

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/29/us/eric-greitens-resigns.html

Last month, a House investigation found that he subjected a woman to non-consensual sexual activity and violence. Like his role-model Trump, he dismissed the factual findings as "tabloid trash gossip" rooted in "lies and falsehoods."

In late April, Governor Greitens (a Republican) was felony indicted for computer tampering and data theft related to his 2016 election campaign. Greitens, an ex-Navy SEAL, stole a donor list from a veterans' charity, and pestered people on the list for campaign contributions.

A separate felony invasion-of-privacy charge against Mr. Greitens was dropped earlier this month, right before it was to go to trial. In that case, Greitens took a nude photo of a woman without her permission, and then threatened to blackmail her with it to prevent disclosure of their illicit sexual activity.

Greitens resigned after learning of a special legislative session to impeach him. He continues to deny that he did anything improper, wrong, or illegal.

When announcing his resignation, he wouldn't take questions from reporters, but he did make a Trump-like statement of delusion:

"We have a good and proud story to tell our children."

“Gutting regulations?” How about living beyond yer means as a nation and expecting yer neighbors to bail you out? You can’t have everyone retiring at 50. It just doesn’t work. Italy is like Greece, only 10 times worse. This could get ugly.

What does that actually mean?
