It is with an incredible sadness that I post the news that my good friend Bobby Model died today. Bobby was a well-known climber and photographer, having traveled the world covering the sport we love.

2 1/2 years ago, he was injured in South Africa when a rock was thrown through the windshield of a car in which he was riding. He sustained massive and life-threatening injuries, but showed good signs of recovery from that incident. Bobby has recently been back at home in Cody, Wyoming, slowly recuperating from his head injuries.

I don't know any details at this time other than the overwhelming sadness this news brings to his friends and his family.

Read all the posts and feel the pain. God, why oh why is life so hurtful and difficult sometimes. I have lost my closest friend. I know pain. I am praying for all Bobby's much loved ones and much loved friends. Living the rest of your lives and starting today to process not only the pain but the why's and wherefores is the ultimate of pain.

Lived this painful, difficult, mind fogging, life blowing process for the past 21 months. Have received incredible help from not only family and a few friends but from this incredible Taco.

If you ever want to call me or email me Please, please do. Death, dying and living the horrendous experience when it happens to our best friend and the one we love with all our heart is more than able to be endured at times. I be there for yo. I will pray and care and pray God comforts you all. Peace....

Weeping endures for a long, long, long nite....but eventually joy comes in the morning.

I never thought it would......but the dawn of joy is sneaking up on my early morning horizon every once in a while. I love you all that hurt. Peace be with you. Lynne

Actually, this is a reply to Lynne: I contacted you a while ago (I'm GDavis' mom), and I've been following your journey. It's a long one, and a really sad one, and one that's familiar to so many people, but I am constantly encouraged by your sweetness and transparency. Thank you for your constant encouragement to others; it speaks volumes. Love you, Kit
